One of my favorite RPGs ever is Lunar. While I prefer the PS1 version, had a blast replaying this on the Saturn a few months ago. Will eventually check out the Sega CD and PSP versions as well.

Keeps crashing on my Sega CD, but Lunar 2 works fine. I got tired of playing them, though.

I love both the Lunar games. PS1 versions of both are definitely the best(atleast in the west, Saturn looks mostly comparable). But I did enjoy checking out the Sega CD versions, and GBA/PSP of the first one. I would like to try Magic School Lunar or whatever it's called but I don't understand a lick of japanese.

It really is gorgeous in both the cutscene and animation departments. Bit of a shame regarding the windowed cutscenes, you'd expect more from the prestigious Saturn! Music must certainly be a high point for this series as well. I like the name "Lunar;" it sounds like a good name for a strong and classic RPG series. Great review!
