Someone at some point will inevitable have to port all these classics to VR, it has to happen, and the same goes for the Vectrex games. I imagine they could look similar to Rez Infinite since they are mostly vector looking games, but the original Atari sound, that's what will always still the show.

Really enjoying Juno First on the 2600 I'd like a copy of that game. How much did you pick up the cart for?

dschult3 think it's pretty hard to pick up homebrews for a lesser price than AtariAge since nobody wants to sell theirs.

Saturdays are Atari days for my son, and I've got to say I'm rather proud of him. He is kicking ass on the Big Bird game, and now he is graduating to Keystone Capers, Q-Bert (I still hate the controls on that one.), Eduro, and Grand Prix. This Papa is proud...

Wow that sounds awesome dschult3 that's a day to look forward to for me. Thanks! I've been trying to upgrade his skill set for games, but he is still struggling to play with games that require more than one action button. I don't really know what the appropriate age for that is yet. I guess only time will tell. In the mean time, this old Atari 2600 has gone through a resurrection of sorts.

I'm wondering if I should get a Harmony Cart or some other variant, since this collection is only so big. Has anyone bought one of those? Is it worth the current price?

dschult3 those harmony carts are expensive, and they'll never be good as the real thing, but then again, they're great for saving obscure/rare games. Not everyone has Atlantis II, Video Life or Pepsi Invaders lying around (except me, shameless brag, they're repros, but rare repros). How old is your son, if I may ask? A 2600 game I think would be great to play is Indy 500; fantastic controls and definitively in my top 5 Atari 2600 games.

I would say even Barcelona, Madrid, Rhodes, Athens, Rome, Paris, and Monaco are too fresh for that. I say that because I live close to L.A. and almost everything in L.A. is in doors, but one would think otherwise considering how the weather is mostly nice. I don't know about Paris, but there's open air parties around the Mediterranean. The nights are nice.

Grand Prix is a game he is getting good at. As a matter of fact, the simple racers are great for kids who are just beginning. I just looked up the price on the Harmony Cart. HOLY COW! I didn't think it would be worth THAT much. I'll have to find an alternative.
