I don't know anything about these games and never heard much about them so I always assumed they were cashgrabs, maybe someone here has played and can tell me if I had the right impression.
The only Transformers games I've ever played were Transformers(2004) for PS2 and the Cybertron games on 360. I meant to play the Platinum game on PS4 but never got around to it.

Pimpjira I don't think you're missing anything. I played the 360 version of RotF and it was a cheap version of the Cybertron games.

I haven't played the DS game{s] but I have it for PSP, PS2, PS3 and Xbox 360.
Unlike the rest, the PSP version is an old school, arcade style, top-down shooter, developed exclusively for the PSP.
Having played all the console versions, I'm glad they decided to make an original game for PSP this time, rather than porting the PS2/Wii game as was often the case with multiplat games of the time.
Don't get me wrong, it was awesome when they ported full console games directly to PSP. Giving us proper console quality games to play on the go, that weren't a generation or two behind the current gen, was fantastic and something I had always dreamed of, and thanks to PSP I finally got to experience it.
But when a game wasn't great on consoles, like Revenge of the Fallen definitely wasn't on PS2/Wii, they absolutely made the right call developing a separate version for PSP. So I'm happy having missed out on a portable version of that lackluster shovelware, and getting a good game instead.

You can never get enough of Transformers, but I wish all of these were given to Japanese studios. Konami, Platinum, FromSoftware, they can all nail the franchise better in game form for some reason.
