I played some rounds of Street Fighter x Tekken on Vita, was a great handheld port from what I remember. It might be the last fighting game I played on a handheld come to think of it.

Street Fighter IV on 3DS was literally the first time I saw the game, and it was the first 3DS game running because my coworker at the time had it. I was very impressed.
I bought it digitally, but I still want to get the physical copy, and the same goes with Street Fighter X Tekken on the Vita, both very fun games. I feel they are a must have in the 3DS, and Vita library.
I really need a Vita though. It really has its own personality, and love the fact that it uses cartridges, a completely underrated system.

I didn't even know SFXTekken was released on the Vita and I'm a huge fan of the game. Never played any of these games in their hand held form, But as stand alone games I would say I enjoyed SFXtekken more that I did SF4.

I originally voted SF x Tekken for Vita, but now I realize that I wouldn't want to play either of these fighter ports because of how shitty the d-pads for the 3DS and Vita are. The 3DS d-pad is far too slippery, and the Vita d-pad has the same problem of all of the other Sony d-pads by being this clunky four-piece design with (I assume) pressure sensitivity. Both ports seem to be very technically competent, but I don't want to bother having to put up with a shitty d-pad while playing a demanding 2D game, so instead I decided I'm just going to discuss the console versions of these two fighters instead, since I would be actually able to find a superior 3rd party alternative to control them, unlike the handheld versions where I'm stuck using an unworthy d-pad.
If I had to choose between SF x Tekken and SF IV, it would be the easiest choice in the world; SF x Tekken all the way for me personally. Outside of SF 3, none of the main-series SF games interest me in the slightest. SF 1 was an ambitious mess, I despise the overrated SF II, and SF IV and V are just designed to appeal to SF II fanboys so I hate those games as well.
The Capcom Vs series, however, has always impressed me, and despite all the negative things I have heard about SF x Tekken, I'm still very interested in playing it, mostly because I'm a Tekken fanboy but also because it seems to move at a noticeably faster clip than SF IV (which its engine is based on), so as a hardcore fighting game fan I expect it should appeal to me more than SSF IV would.
Bonus complaint: I will never understand why Nintendo stopped making their d-pads textured after the 6th gen. Ports like SSF IV would actually be playable if my thumb wasn't always sliding off the damn thing. My guess is that Nintendo cheaped out like Sega did with the Dreamcast controller by phasing out extra plastic on their hardcore just so they could save a little manufacturing cost. I always hate it when hardware manufacturers get cheap like this.

Little known fact: Namco actually announced way back in 2010 that they were planning to release their own take on the idea of a crossover fighting between Street Fighter and Tekken, tentatively called Tekken X Street Fighter. As of 2023, however, the game has still not been finished, leaving us Tekken & Street Fighter fanboys to wonder if Namco has cancelled the project.
Somebody recently did a video on the mythical game in question:
I vividly remember being beyond hyped when I heard about Namco's Tekken X Street Fighter when it was teased back in an E3 conference during E3 2010. The fact that Namco was going to make a crossover fighting game (something they NEVER do) with Street Fighter characters in the Tekken engine (again, something they NEVER do) PLUS the fact that there has only ever been one other crossover fighting game to feature Capcom IPs (SNK's SVC Chaos) would make Tekken X Street Fighter the most historically significant fighting game of the decade, easily. Literally the only thing that could compare to the idea of Namco making Tekken X Street Fighter would be if Capcom made a full blown Capcom Vs Namco, which seems to be the direction Capcom was intending to go before SF X Tekken financially underperformed, which seemed to spell doom for Namco's Tekken X SF as well.
As far as I'm concerned, Tekken X Street Fighter is the single most mythical vaporware of the 2010s. I still hope it gets finished someday, although I obviously have my doubts. It's been 13 years and still no Tekken x Street Fighter, not a good sign. It's so sad to think that this is a dead franchise.
