I have to be honest, other than Kirby Superstar, I never gave Kirby the time of the day in that period, so I missed on all these great offerings the series was doing. I remember playing the N64 one and liking it, then I saw my cousin beat the NES one and I thought it was cool, but I never made myself give the series the attention it deserved until the Wii U era, which was also a time that I was getting the Wii ones.
Now I love everything Kirby, whether a spinoff or an one-off idea, I know I usually going to end up liking the game. I honestly feel Kirby can't do no wrong. I remember not liking Kirby's Dream Course for example, and now I even find that one enjoyable. So when I see these classic games I know those were good too, and will likely play them on a collection or if they are put on the online service.
Although I feel even considering the Switch is portable, the horizontal design of the console probably won't be as nostalgic as playing it on the original hardware. To me even if I don't have nostalgia for a game, it can still be a nostalgic experience from the hardware platform alone, and those classic Game Boy systems are all nostalgic in that regard.

Is Nightmare in Dream Land the remake to Kirby's Adventure? Because it's hard to top that, it's still the definitive Kirby game to me, so it gets my vote.

I don't remember The Amazing Mirror much and never beat it, I should go back to it sometime. Nightmare in Dreamland is easily one of my favorites in the series though.

I never liked kirby games. Besides the one on the Nes that has a lot of charm, I always felt Kirby was just Mario for toddlers. I feel like my intelligence being insulted when I try to play one. Favourite Kirby game has to be Dream Course for the Snes.
