I actually have beaten this game (the 3DS remake). Not 100%, but I made it to the end. It made me want to beat the original too. I haven't done that yet, but I imagine it is great too. The remake wasn't bad at all. I got lost a couple times because I stopped playing, and when I came back I forgot where I was, so I did have to use YouTube to pass some sections, but I remember it was engaging. I may come back to do it 100% because the collectables are fun to me. It has a lot, although just finishing the game is a more linear experience than many of the handheld Castlevania games, which is the other comparable series to Metroid in terms of level design. I definitely recommend it. It has been a while since I played it, but I remember having fun with it.
