I agree with you that it is not the worst movie ever, but because of the name, it pisses you off to believe it while you are watching it. It is like watching one of the new crappy Star Wars movies and expecting what the originals did. What a shame. Rocky Balboa is what V should have been. You will enjoy that one. Creed Rocky VII, please.

Rocky Balboa, greatest Rocky film since the original.
"Many people come to Las Vegas to lose, but Rocky Balboa didn't. This movie is all Rocky V dreamt of being. Picking up the pieces from V, Rocky Balboa gives us something that really feels like a ode to the original. Set back in Philadelphia, Rocky gets the character development he deserves. This is the first time he actually feels like the original character with the things he does. He helps out other people, and it feels genuine and organic. This is also the first time he really felt like an underdog since the original too. And he fucking proves it too, and goes the distance. The score is fantastic. When I heard Gonna Fly Now in the training montage, it really got to me, so perfect. The villain is grounded for once, and despite not being the best villain ever, he gets the job done. The fight is the most realistic we have seen so far, and I am unsure how I feel about it. It looks a little bit cheap and uncinematic, but again, it goes for realism this time around, and it really does look like Rocky gets a beating of a life time. Overall, this is the perfect way to end the Rocky franchise. Creed is still ongoing, and I think that is a great idea, but letting this be Rocky's finale could not have been handled better." 4.5/5

This is the movie Stallone wanted to be his send off, and it shows. This movie is outstanding, and I think it may be the second best in my eyes.
