I'm not sure if I'm supposed to admit this, but I'm Dan's sponsor and he's supposed to call me whenever he gets the impulse to buy Virtual Boys. I usually just laugh and hang up. I am a terrible sponsor, aren't I? I don't know about where you live, Bill, but we don't sponsor pederasts where I'm from. Due process involves hanging the convicted from the nearest tree by his balls, assuming he's got any.

Dan E. Kool ....Ah!...I see. I thought the word meant both sexes. Still, I say we burn the witches who kiddy-fiddle.

Black Panther was OK. It started boring and got better towards the middle. I was satisfied by the end. Plus it was another excuse for IMAX which I always enjoy, even if it only shoots in 2K, but nothing beats 720 inches of screen. From what you're saying, you might as well just watch a Blu-Ray. Weird how Disney has all the money in the world, but doesn't upgrade to 4K for their huge movies.

It is not the movie's fault, most IMAX cinemas are still using 2K projection. Honestly even on a huge screen it looks clear enough, you won't notice the difference concentrating on the movie. Still, it is better than Blu-Ray, unless you have a 720 inches screen at home.

But my question is more directed towards Disney cheapening out on a multi-billion dollar franchise.

I've just read that most of them are actually shot in 4K or 6.5K, but they do the effects in fucking 2K. And since almost everything on the screen is effects, it is basically 2K. A lot of people these days have 4K TVs, so there's no reason not to do everything in 4K.

That said, they probably don't need to upgrade since almost all movie theaters are still 2K.

It's almost impossible these days to buy a new 2K TV. Everything is 4K nowadays. No reason to linger in the past.
