What a piece of shit movie. I liked it. My favourite scene is the fight at the taco place. Me too, that whole scene is what made me like Toxic Avenger in the end. Those 3 guys are probably the most entertaining goons I've ever seen in a movie. Those goons also died some of most entertaining deaths in a movie. Toxic Avenger had great goons all around. |

Just watched it. Here's my Letterboxd review: "Such a weird and terrible movie. The acting is abysmal and the story is shit. Some of the effects are charming and actually great, but a lot of them are really bad too. Despite all of that, the movie has some charm that gets me. I can see why it is a cult classic. I enjoyed it and kind of want to watch the sequels. What is very surprising is how this filth can be on YouTube. It is filled with nudity, sex and extreme violence." 2.5/5 I'll bump up the score to 3 here on the pub as the it's closer to a 3 than a 2. I lol'd at the Elephant Man reference. I can see why cobretti loves it. |

I also rewatched this AVGN movie for the first time. Lloyd Kaufman is kind of cringy and not personally funny.

Balder He should really tone down the pisshead act. He was a bit sore that 'Poultrygeist' got passed up at the Cannes Film Festival, but with a reputation like Troma's, he should've seen that coming. He's also pissed that the Toxic Crusaders cartoon didn't take off like TMNT. I haven't seen Toxic Avenger yet but I watched 'Return to Nukem High Part 1' a year ago...MIND. FUCKING. BLOWN.

They've already have 5 Toxic Avengers movies, can't hurt that much to have a reboot, unless it's someone else than Troma making it. |
