Are you sure that you're not talking about Mankind Divided. Because that is the only one with HDR. Yeah, I mentioned it was the PS4 one.

stratogustav - The Deus Ex games aren't necessarily stealth games, though - you can upgrade your character's combat abilities (instead of his hacking and stealth skills) and just play it as an action game, which might be more up your alley.

I forgot to mention one thing that I really liked about Human Revolution: right at the beginning of the game, Jensen is called to solve a hostage situation and you have to go to the heliport to begin the mission. I'll use spoiler tags because a funny and surprising thing happened to me: I spent some time dicking around and exploring the scenery before going to the heliport, as I would do in any game. So, what happened when I finally begun the mission? Well, everyone was accusing me because I took so long to get there that the hostages were all murdered. On a replay of this section, I went straight to the heliport and the hostages were indeed still alive. So this is one of the few games that actually takes into account how long you take to do your "urgent" assignments (though I don't remember if there were other moments like this). I thought it was pretty cool.

I thought it was pretty cool. I think there's a time sensitive side mission towards the middle of the game where a thug plants a bomb under the police station. If you do it right away, he won't activate it. If you wait, you have a time limit to deactivate it when you find it.

I forgot to say why I picked this as a suggestion.
I recently replayed this to get ready for playing Mankind Divided. It had been some years since my last playthrough, but it still holds up. I played the Director's Cut which includes The Missing Link DLC, which is a really good DLC. The DLC has an interesting setting being on a boat. I had a couple of achievements that I was missing, but now I have them all, 100% (even all the DLC achievements).

Balder - I thought "The Missing Link" showed some improvement on the developers' part. I don't remember it well, but I thought the level design was better than in most of the main game levels and even its boss fight was much better thought out. It also reminded me of the Tank chapter from MGS 2, so that's a plus.

I recently discovered the Director's Cut version game is on the Wii U and that Derek did a review of it. I saw it the other night for a cool $20.

But the DLC itself wasn't that great I thought. It was as if they needed somewhere to squeeze in additional content so they just crammed it into the sea journey. And the whole factory reset just also seemed like a cheap way to get you to play from square one without any power ups that far into the game... My main complaint I think was that it had little follow up with or repercussion on the main game, and added very little to it since none of the characters, or events that occur there have any bearing on the rest of the story... Plus, if you play it before the main game's ending like the Director's cut intends, it kinda spoils the shock value of the end boss battle a little bit.

How does it ruin the end boss exactly? Didn't you play it ?... And if you're going to paraphrase, do it correctly please. I didn't say ' ruin', I said ' spoils shock value' - They are not the same. A player can experience less shock without having the game sequence completely subverted. The DLC reveals the nature of aspects of the main game's final boss prematurely (although not revealing the identity per se).
Someone playing through without witnessing the cyber pod women in the DLC would be more likely to be horrified if they saw them for the first time at the endboss - I know I would.

I don't remember it spoiling anything about the ending, but I only played it after the main game. I do agree that it's an inconsequential side-story, though - it's really just an extra mission for people who wanted to see more.

You're dragging this way out of proportions. It is merely mentioned in the DLC. Apparently, either you missed it, or just didn't understand or care for content beyond 'escape and beat the bad guy'. An entire laboratory scene was dedicated to it. The main undercurrent sub-plot of the DLC mission was uncoverning the nature & truth behind the Hyron Project. - Hence, the 'Missing link'. Cervantes - Actually come to think of it, the whole thing reminds me of the entire Metal Gear Solid 2 now, Tanker and Plant together. Heil, the mission structure is basically identical - first you're on a boat, then you're on a plant... Where the female double agent spy that helps you gets killed, then you have a final showdown with the main bad guy and his entire army by your lonesome...

You're such a know-it-all and a condescending fuck to everyone you disagree with.
