I lasted just short of 9 minutes. That was painful. Yeah, I don't think that film is for me either. But then I again I wasn't a fan of The Big Lebowski either, I don't know why people hype that film.

Big Lebowski is one of my favorite movies ever, but I can understand if others don't like it. Not sure why stratogustav keeps bringing it up in multiple unrelated threads, though...

I'm not just watching it, but also creating its portuguese subtitles just so no one in my country will have any excuse to not watch it (apparently there are only croatian subtitles for it, maybe it has a fanbase in Croatia for some reason). As soon as I finish watching/subtitling, I'll post my opinions.
But I can already say it's f****** great. A lot of fun throwbacks to the first movie and accidentally homoerotic connotations between Danton and whoever is trying to kill him.

I honestly would had liked the film more if it wasn't for Jeff Bridges and Julianne Moore. I just dislike them. Julianne Moore also ruined Don Jon which is an excellent movie without her. Then Jeff Bridges has no charisma whatsoever.

Then Jeff Bridges has no charisma whatsoever. I totally disagree, but Deadly Prey and Deadliest Prey don't contain any of those, so go watch them.

Balder's review is spot on. The movie is a blast, mostly because while there is some self-awareness, it doesn't get in the way of the "we're trying to make a big action movie here!" mentality - the movie is still dead serious about its own plot, lines and action sequences. Most of all, I'm glad they could get the old cast back, so it's like watching a senior version of the original movie - I was always worried that they would hurt their hips or something! Hogan is still cheesy as hell and Ted Prior can still look like a convincing action hero as Danton. Of course, they had to tone down the action (no scenes of Danton rising from the water or the ground, or falling from trees over his enemies), but it's very understandable since they aren't young actors anymore. The soundtrack is still great and used in as much inapropriate ways as in the original. By the way, I liked the introduction of the internet subplot. It shows that they were trying hard to update the movie, so the cheesy hacking just adds to the madness of it all.

I totally lost it when the big henchman guy gets his arm cut off and beaten to death (again) just like his "brother (or was it cousin?)".
