I was watching this the other day and noticed some siliarities between this movie and Sonic 06.
(Gee, that overacting is making me cringe!)
Anyway, Sonic 06 and Felix the Movie. Both have similar looking, anthromorphic main characters with big eyes.
Both have Princesses with magic tears
In charge of a kingdom named "-iana". Soleanna/Oriana
Menaced by a bald villian with a mechanised army.
There's a nemesis who switches sides.
Both were meant to reboot their prospective franchises.
With stories that were completely topsy turvy.
Both bombed spectacularly.
Oh, and both get kissed at the end

My mind is blown. These are the sort of realizations that don't let me sleep at night. I see coincidences like this everywhere, in science, in religion, in politics, and all kinds of media.
For the media part at least we can always argue that one influenced the other, so no big deal there, plus there is always plagiarism and stuff like that, but for everything else, it gives you this weird feeling that you are in some sort of virtual reality world designed by a higher mind, and it happens very often.

Do you ever see the same numbers over and over again? That would just be the ascending reticular activating system in your brain, when you give an image, a signpost, a goal, or a symbol to your mind, it is more likely to find it, obtain it, or accomplish it. There is nothing particularly extraordinary about that. For example if you want to buy a new car, and you know the exact maker, year, and model, you are more likely to notice it when it passes by because you already have given that image to your brain. So the same goes with the abstract, such as numbers, or even life opportunities, and life goals. The kind of coincidences I'm referring to are more conceptual. For example Saturn's hexagon storm. The fact that the star of David is right on top of Saturn and had been there for thousands of years is something to consider. That Saturn was used to represent Saturday, Saturday is the Sabbath, the Sabbath is the 7th day, and Saturn is the 7th sphere if you start with the Sun. Those things are kind of mind bugging. Things like how checker floors had been used in cathedrals and temples around the world and that the same two dimensional pattern represents the same pattern that forms the second dimension in our reality, that is an intense coincidence. For example how many myths throughout the ancient world share so many similarities, despite that those cultures were separated from each other without coming into contact at all, and how our ancestors used astronomy and astrology to share that exact same message to pass it to future generations. Things like how pyramids were used by our ancestors all throughout the world and throughout different cultures without us really knowing much about it, and how our reality is also built in the same way, by quasicrystals that form the bases for the 3rd dimension and any dimension above. That kind of stuff makes me doubt those are just pure coincidences.

I will give Felix the Cat the Movie this much credit: it has better character designs than Naoto Ohshima's overall body of work Half the time his work either looked like 1920s rubber tube style toons drawn by a mentally insane outsider artist, some weird juxtaposition of body parts drawn in different styles or a shoddy Pixar knockoff produced in a third world country. The character designs in Felix the Cat the Movie look crude all across the board but at least in a cutesy way, and not in an uncanny, spindly, creepy way like Nights or Balan. If the characters in Felix the Cat the Movie looked like Nights I wouldn't even be able to laugh at it. I would just run out of the room in terror. Even the globgogabgulab scares me less than his artwork.
