I actually bought it for VR, I put it the other day, and I still haven't figure out if it is a good idea to pick up everything you encounter, or what type of things are important to pick up. Apparently when you pick up too many things you can't even walk. If I hit storage they disappear from the pause menu, and I can walk normal again, but I have no idea where they go when you do that. My guess is that later on I would be able to access those things, but I don't know for sure, or if it is worth it picking them up in the first place. I also noticed it is important to quick save every time you do something because the autosave doesn't do it often enough. I still haven't figure out which is the best weapon to use either. I'm motivated to keep playing because on VR it feels like you are really there and that it is your head the one that is about to get chopped off, but I wish there was a guide for those things I mentioned. I looked on YouTube, but I couldn't find anything about it. To me, knowing what type of thing are important to pick up could save me a lot of time. I was trying to pick up everything just in case they would mean more currency, but I have no idea if that's the case. If you think about it, you can't prove your character isn't naked in many first person games. In Skyrim when you pick up things from women you leave them in their underwear, but sadly they are already dead at that point, so unless you are some kind of weird necrophilian, it doesn't help the cause. I heard the plat is easily 100 hours or more.

Skyrim is without a doubt the absolute worst Elder Scrolls game and quite possibly Bethesda's most reprehensible title yet. It streamlined and casualized every aspect of the series while most notably removing many of the best features of the previous game (Oblivion):
The complex and epic character creator system?
GONE!
The incredible spell crafting? (which alone was a deal breaker for me)
GONE!
The complex RPG & leveling mechanics?
GONE GONE GOOOOOOOOONE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
And that isn't even taking into consideration all of the awesome stuff/features in Morrowind that Oblivion omitted (which obviously isn't in Skyrim either).
Never touched this piece of trash game and I never will. As someone who has only ever enjoyed playing as a mage I am absolutely disgusted and dismayed by how badly Skyrim botched the magic system, since spellcrafting is what made magic so god damn OP and fun in the previous games.
1/5 terrible game. Skyrim is truly a disgrace to longtime fans of the series (like me), and newcomers who have only played Skyrim don't even know what they're missing. Skyrim has completely killed my hope for the TeS series.

Best bang for you buck right there if you enjoy it; all those hours of entertainment for 60 bucks (at the time) can't be beat. (I got the plat for that one stratogustav.)

That is so impressive, I almost forgot about that. I think I got confused with Metal Gear Solid V. Wait, so you know what's good to pick up? I really want to know. I think I wasted like half an hour picking up things, and then I put my lockpicks away by mistake, and when I was going to restart, I had to start all over again because I didn't know it wasn't saving. So I rage quit. Is it possible to get those things you put away on the storage option of the pause menu? There is a choice in the pause menu that if you choose it all your things get stored, but it doesn't tell you how to get them back or where they go. Is it possible to get them back? Is it possible to sell everything you have? Even the duplicates? Someone told me I should get a house at some point, so I was going to get every pot, cup, pan, and whatever to sell them and buy the house as soon as possible, but I have no idea if that is a possibility.

I am not sure about the storage via the pause menu, perhaps that is different with the VR version. I know storage as walk up to a "box" and take or store items. There are "safe" places out in the world you can find (look up "early save storage"). You can buy a house through the main quest at Whiterun soon enough. For selling stuff, you speech level is key. One of the problems with the game is that you level you speech up by selling stuff; easy enough, right? But you get more points by selling one item at a time rather than selling all items at once (you have 100 coal, well sell one at a time for more leveling). Eventually you can get a trait that allows you to sell anything to any vendor (at the beginning you can only sell armor/arms to smiths, food to food vendors, etc). That helps a lot with selling items and quick money. Don't worry about COLLECTING EVERYTHING. Just get the more expensive items: arms, armor, etc. You can sell everything, but don't over-encumber yourself too much with junk.

I will definitely use that. I'm surprised the storage option on the pause menu is there, it says: "Do you want to store this item?" If you say yes, it puts away whatever item you are clicking on. I had to do that so I can walk at normal speed, but it didn't tell me where those things go and how to gain access to them again. I thought that was part of all the versions.
I didn't know what's important so I was picking up everything. I will limit myself to just pick up weapons and armor from now on. Since you end up with a lot of dead people around, it is easy to get a lot of duplicates. Now with that in mind I will waste less time. Thanks for all the advice.

It was my favorite: love the look, music, and layout (2 sellers that are 24 hours, blacksmith right by the entrance, lots of sellers during the day, right in the middle of the world in the beginning). There is a cave just to the east of it across the river; forget the name, might be "Bandit Cave." You can raid that, has a blind bandit that you can level your sneak around as long as you don't bother him, kill and loot everyone and everything. Sell everything at Whiterun. You can put everything you can't carry in one of the barrels near the beginning. All dungeons respawn after 30 days in game. So as long as you get all the stuff out by then, it won't go anywhere. Then just raid it again.
BTW, tell Aela the Huntress hello in Whiterun. She might be the perfect girl for you stratogustav.

Haha, I'll have to suit up my full nerd mode to the maximum, I think that's what makes the game interesting, you get to have the full experience. In other words you are not graduated as a nerd until you beat an Elder Scrolls game. If I beat this I'll finally be able to hang up my diploma on the PSN wall.

I wouldn't enjoy it. Aside from the graphics and physics it seems like a downgrade in every respect. Modding aside, Oblivion and especially Morrowind give the player so much more power and freedom, mainly through spellcrafting, as well as through enchanting in Morrowind (Oblivion had enchanting but it was much more toned down). But my point remains the same: in the older games using magic was so much more fun. And since I never got much enjoyment out of playing as an archer or using melee combat, I know for sure that Skyrim would be boring as hell.

You never battled a giant bear with a sword and shield or go hunting with a bow in Skyrim? Melee combat is great in it.
