Weird votes so not voting, I'll just give it 5/5 without the text, I like all the Lethal Weapon movies.

I was waiting for this one. I watched Lethal Weapon 1 & 2 recently after not seeing the series for a long time, and I got to say they might be some of my favorites now. I think what brings Lethal Weapon together, aside from the action, is how Riggs and Murtaugh interact with one another. Whether they're friends or enemies, the interactions between these two are generally well written and add an endearing element to the movie. The last fight scene deserves a mention because it's one of the best I've seen in a movie. It had crazy stuff you wouldn't usually see in an 80's movie like armbars and triangle locks, but at the same time it wasn't over-choreographed and still felt like this raw, savage fight. Also, I'm pretty sure Balder has seen this one by now.

One of these to go back and see. This featured the original 'Mad Mel', the same who ate dog treats to make friends with a guard dog. Yummeh!

I saw this they day after watching Beverly Hills Cop, the week when we discussed it. I also have my review for Lethal Weapon when I watched it:
"Eh... The beginning was great, especially with Mel Gibson and Danny Glover having very good chemistry with each other. However things starts to fall apart towards the middle and the film just delves into mediocrity." 3/5
Compared to Beverly Hills Cop, it was kind of disappointing. It's a completely fine movie in general, but it doesn't have anything special and unique that I can't find in other movies. I'm in minority here, but everyone who votes anything less than a perfect 5 is in the minority, except for when it comes to Rambo II, which everyone knows worse than the original.

I like the first movie enough to give it a 4, but it's just not as good as Lethal Weapon 5:

Hey, look, here comes Balder with another wrong opinion on a movie. He even gave us a bonus wrong opinion on a different movie of which I won't even dignify as to not feed his delusions anymore. Where Balder's review goes wrong is he forgot (probably on purpose) that Buesy is in the movie. Busey rules and his mere presence add at least one star to the movie. The fight scene between Busey and Mel at the end is second only to the They Live fight as the greatest fist fight in movie history. Maybe Balder has been brainwashed by Norway's notorious anit-Busey sentiment, but Buesy rules, and therefor Lethal Weapon rules. It also help that it stars Mel, who also rules, but not as much as Busey. Anyway, Balder, once again you are wrong.

I'll have to disagree with you there: the They Live fight is the best one ever made, sure, but the second best one is Ripley vs. the Alien Queen in Aliens. Most manly female fight ever. Of course, in the male and human category, I'll concede that the Lethal Weapon one might be the second best - though it also has a serious competition with the final one from Van Damme's Bloodsport.

The Aliens fight didn’t have Busey so the Lethal Weapon was is still superior.
