All I know is, I better be able to awkwardly/suggestively grab my co op partner from behind! <iframe width="11" height="7.639999999999986" style="position: absolute; width: 11px; height: 7.639999999999986px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none;left: 5px; top: 21px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_2549822" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="11" height="7.639999999999986" style="position: absolute; width: 11px; height: 7.64px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 493px; top: 21px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_36193182" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="11" height="7.639999999999986" style="position: absolute; width: 11px; height: 7.64px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 5px; top: 345px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_62403425" scrolling="no"></iframe> <iframe width="11" height="7.639999999999986" style="position: absolute; width: 11px; height: 7.64px; z-index: -9999; border-style: none; left: 493px; top: 345px;" id="MoatPxIOPT0_758299" scrolling="no"></iframe>

No dashing or rolling. Looks like they've abandoned Rage 3's mechanics. What a pity.

Excellent stuff.

MeleeMonk - I don't know about the rolling, but isn't Axel using a dash attack in that gif? It is a move from Streets of Rage 2.

MeleeMonk - I don't know about the rolling, but isn't Axel using a dash attack in that gif? Yes, it's a dash attack (2 taps left or right + punch button), which was in 2 and I think 1 as well, but SoR 1 & 2 ironically didn't have an actual dashing mechanic. 3 introduced dashing/sprinting and roll-dodging (plus a few other mechanics) while retaining all of 2's mechanics.

Didn't mean to rain on your parade, chum. I was just expressing my opinion. Take a chill pill, have a snickers, do whatever you need to calm down.

There's some time I haven't played the series, so I just assumed SOR 2 had dash along its dash attack. I didn't remember proper dashes were only introduced in 3, interesting. Maybe it's time to go through the games again! By the way, Maestro, have you played the fan-made SOR Remake? The title is misleading: it's not so much a remake, but a Sonic Mania-style sequel: it uses parts of levels from the original games, but is its own thing. It's a pretty great game, and you'll love to know it has all the mechanics from SOR 3 intact. It also has a lot of characters, multiple paths/endings, levels based on content that was cut from SOR 3 (like a jet ski riding level), new characters and other stuff. Trailer:

Trailer: People keep telling me how good the remake is, so I'm inclined to believe you. Imagine if the Streets of Rage franchise was owned by Nintendo. That remake would've been taken down years ago. Gotta give props to Sega for supporting the modding scene.

MeleeMonk Funny enough Sega actually did take it down years ago. Sega is a lot more cool with fan projects nowadays though.
