Just started playing the Xbox copy I recently bought and realized that since it is the first edition version of the game, my old save file from my second edition disc isn't compatible and therefore I had to start a new game, which sucks because I had almost completed the campaign on my old save (and SA has a LONG campaign).
I really enjoy the RPG elements and sheer variety that is missing from the latest GTAs (V and especially IV). It really sets SA apart from them and gives one a lot of incentive to explore the huge world on foot or bike looking for weapons & vehicles while building up stats like stamina, max health, muscle, etc. It's similar to traditional WRPGs in that regard, which is a good thing IMO. RPG mechanics are always a welcome touch for me. I just get such a greater sense of satisfaction from this in the long run compared to having no RPG elements like in GTA IV for example. (still prefer IV though)
