Nah man, I have plans to watch it one day though TM. I don't own it (yet) and it's not streaming on any of the service I subscribe to. I've heard a lot of good things about it. I've watched 371 movies this year so far, but you know, no matter how many movies I watch, there are still plenty that I've missed. I get it. In my head for some reason, I had a thought that every kid from a certain age on probably had seen it. I don't even know why I thought that. I suppose that's why I had my kids watch it. Maybe it's an American thing. I didn't hear about it until last year, and that's only because I'm very interested in films and it came up in a discussion about great movies on the internet. Never heard of it in real life. |

Andre The Giant was a great Brute Squad member. He died way too young. I would have loved to have seen him in more films.

This popped on out randomly at Netflix. It was never added to the recently added section either, so I stumbled onto this by pure chance. Here's what I thought about it:
"I have been wanting to watch this for a while now, but when I first heard about it, I could not believe it was any good. Just look at the title and the cover art. It seems like one of the most generic romance movies of all time. It is a great film, and it is so easy to see everything it inspired. I mean Shrek is just a remake basically. The Princess Bride is such a fun adventure. I do not find it overly hilarious like many other people seems to, but I like its tone and nature very much. The characters are great and their interactions with each other is what makes this film. I do find it to drag a little bit in the middle, after the Fire Swamp scene, but it picks up towards the end. It is not the best film I ever watched, far from it, but it is really solid." 3.5/5
