First, let me say that Priest is the best, man. Priest is number 1 in heavy metal. And who comes next? Iron Maiden. This is a good selection of Priest essentials that neophyte rockers like Balder need to listen to in order to become a true metalhead. Once I get some time and am back at my computer, I’ll put together a list of my favorite Priest jams with some great deep cuts. Nice man, yeah, those are just essentials. I have one for Iron Maiden as well. Although Sanctuary is missing for some reason. I think it belongs to Paul Di'Anno now. When I made the list it was still playable. As a bonus here is an Ozzy Osbourne playlist too. It also comes with some Black Sabbath at the end: Bold move putting some Blaze Bayley era Maiden on there but I like it. His era wasn’t as bad as it’s made out to be. Clansman was really great. So great they still occasionally play it on more recent tours. I hope Ozzy pulls though his current illness. Would hate to lose him.

His version of Afraid To Shoot Strangers is the best, but I don't think there is a studio one. It is the same case with Ripper Owens in Judas Priest during that same era. Owens was good, I know he is not Halford, but he was good. About Ozzy, I agree man. I was about to see him last year, and the concert was postponed to August, but I still don't know if he will continue to perform if he is in bad shape.

I would say the Blaze Maiden albums are better than the Ripper Priest albums, but Ripper did an amazing job standing in for Halford on the classics. His voice is really good. Speaking of Halford, have you heard his solo stuff or the Fight albums? Really great stuff. Ozzy being sick really brings another reminder that the old metal guard are still mortals. This, Bruce’s cancer, Iommi’s cancer, Dio’s death from cancer, Vinnie Paul’s heart attack. They’re starting to drop off or get sick. It sucks.

Yeah man it is horrible they are leaving us, but they will be immortal through their legacy, and that means a lot. It is such a great thing that we have the technology to keep audio, and video of them recorded for future generations. And yes, I do like Halford solo stuff, Dickinson's stuff too, and even Blaze solo stuff is good too. These guys are in these bands for a reason, they are really talented individuals even on their own. Ripper Owens recorded a couple of albums with Ice Earth that are truly fantastic as well. Sadly those albums are in the limbo now. I imagine because of some copyright issues, so you can only get them on physical form. Even the music videos on YouTube from those albums are downgraded pirated copies for that reason.

centipede is that the one that ran out of animation budget or something? Maybe they spent it all on the music.

Remember Lordi?

I know everyone is still reeling from the Alex Jones interview, but today, Joe Rogan had motherfucking Diamond Dave on. The greatest rock 'n roll frontman to ever live. Makes me want to listen to some classic Van Halen.
