Excellent movie, I had a lot of fun watching it when I first saw it. Although I don't think it would hold up in terms of replayability that many times, but not all movies are meant to do that.

I give this movie a healthy "Elastigirl's ultra thicc super milf badonkadonk is incredibly edible and I would eat it like it was my last supper" out of 5.

My favorite Disney film. So well written and directed! My favorite part that makes this stand out from the generic superhero flicks is that The Incredibles actually combines their superpowers naturally and creatively. Their simple powers become so much more and are so much more enjoyable to watch. Easily a 5/5.

What's up with the weird ratings? I guess he forgot to put in the scores. I don't get all of these weird descriptions, but they should always include numerical scores so that people can rate the film.

A movie that I have actually seen is being discussed?! As one of Pixar's classics I don't see anything wrong this particular film (The only classic Pixar film that I dislike is Wall-e). The animation is great, the script is solid and the sound design fulfills its' intended purpose. The only real complaint that I have is that the subject matter and setting that it deals with is rather cliche, which is funny because from what I've heard Pixar was trying to make a parody of super hero movies cliches and ended up making a movie riddled with them. Still, the best Fantastic 4 movie done to date 4/5.

My kids love this movie. I don't mind it as much as I dislike Inside Out, as that movie is a Hallmark movie in the disguise of a children's flick. This isn't as good as Nemo, but falls somewhere in-between.
Side note: Don't look up pictures for this movie with kids around. The internet is one messed up place...

I'll post my latest arguments against the film tomorrow. Been very busy this past week with family visiting from out of state.

I watched it so long ago that I remember almost nothing about the film! 5/5 (Seriously though, I remember it being a nice superhero movie - a better Fantastic Four than any F4 films - but not really great. Among Pixar movies, I would put it in the "middle tier", below Up/Wall-e/Inside Out, but above Cars/Toy Story 2/Ratatouille) Edit: storywise, it's still better than Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within, though.

Believe it or not, The Incredibles is a film that I loved as a dumb little kid. Being a Pixar film meant that half the world saw it, so it was an easy conversation piece with my friends at the school ground. I think around my sophmore year of high school though I began to start having second thoughts about it after realizing how derivative it was of just about everything superhero related as well as Jonny Quest. I also grew annoyed with the amount of crappy humor in the film and other elements thrown in to pander to family audiences. Now as an adult my opinion on the film is overwhelmingly negative and I still continue to find new flaws with it as the days wear on. I know that I've already made so many arguments against the film, so on this thread I'm just going to bring to light my latest arguments that I haven't shared with the pub yet: Argument #1: Poor attention to detail. I've already talked about my dislike of all the film's crude character models (it's supposed to be a superhero movie yet the angular character designs look like they came straight out of a 50s cartoon), but I recently noticed that all of the guards on the island use the exact same character model. At first I thought it might just be a cost cutting measure, but then I noticed that the film was made on a budget of a whopping 92 million dollars, around the same amount as Finding Nemo, a film which didn't lazily recycle character designs like The Incredibles did. Argument #2: stealing ideas/assets from Jonny Quest. In addition to all the uninspired elements Brad Bird borrowed from Marvel Comics for the superhero world building aspect, there is also a disgusting amount of ideas blatently stolen from Hanna Barbera's Jonny Quest, which Bird has admitted to being a huge fan of. Jonny Quest is my favorite show of all time, so it was easy for me to pick up on all of the ideas and even assets that he shamelessly stole from that show for The Incredibles. There's a big difference between making a homage and stealing a design/idea. For example, this character's jeans and black turtleneck is clearly a homage to Jonny Quest's outfit: I'm ok with that. Homages are not a problem. What I'm NOT ok with is the amount of stolen material. Example: -the whole island subplot, which is lifted directly from the Jonny Quest episode The Fraudulent Volcano. Oh, and the visual designs from this part of the film were stolen assets, too. Bird even went as far as stealing ideas from the crappy JQ 80s reboot. Remember that robotic sentry disguised as a parrot? (this one) : That was an idea blatently stolen from the 80s JQ reboot episode The Monolith Man. I would love to post an image of it but unfortunately due to the obscurity of the series I can't find one. But if you don't believe me on any of this, then watch these episodes for yourself and see all the stuff Brad stole from this franchise. I would go as far as saying that The Incredibles is almost as derivative of Jonny Quest as Starchaser The Legend of Orin is derivative of Star Wars. The level of thievery really is that shameless. I wouldn't mind posting more arguments against the film but for now I'm just going to end by posting my summery of the film: lame, derivative and underwhelming. Only kids would find this junk "cool", but there are so many better animated films they could be watching. I rate it 1/5.

You seem to be very harsh on what could be considered minor flaws. For one thing, you know how Super Sonic was ripped off from Dragon Ball Z, the Death Egg from Star Wars and the GUN Truck was ripped from Pepsiman on PS1? Most other people didn't mind those things. So, you cannot believe they're not food, huh?

As centipede pointed out, those points were mostly small issues. 1/5 should be reserved to the worst kinds of movies in my opinion. And it's very hard to say that The Incredibles is that bad.
