So the other day I wanted to attempt the safedisc workaround for Windows 10 that I read about on the PC gaming wiki. So I decided to install one of my games that I was led to believe had Safedisc, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga, and tried to boot it up, expecting it to do nothing like Far Cry did. However, much to my surprise, it worked! Which means that this game, Star Wars Galactic Battlegrounds Saga, does NOT have Safedisc as a DRM!
I was so shocked that it worked, which disproves the PC Gaming Wiki article about its DRM.
I guess to sum up my feelings about this story: it irks me that I can no longer rely 100% on the PC gaming wiki. After Cervantes introduced me to it, I grew to see it as a flawless resource on everything PC gaming related, but now I can't help but be skeptical of its information.

As the PC Gaming Wiki is user created/maintained, like any Wikia it might have a few inaccuracies or missing information sometimes, although it is rare (it's more common when it comes to obscure games). It's still a very helpful resource, especially when coupled with a quick Google search on the game you're trying to play.
About the DRM thing: it's not uncommon that some games got rereleases with different DRM schemes, maybe that was the case with SWGBS (some versions might have Safedisc, maybe?).

About the DRM thing: it's not uncommon that some games got rereleases with different DRM schemes, maybe that was the case with SWGBS (some versions might have Safedisc, maybe?). That might be it, since Battlegrounds Saga is technically an enhanced rereleased version of Galactic Battlegrounds that includes the expansion pack. Maybe the people who wrote the wiki were referring to the original release in terms of the DRM, and I've never owned that version.
