Why? Why does this look better than everything trailer for The Force Awakens? What are you guys thinking about this new thing coming out? I have almost nothing bad to say about this, the only thing that worries me is the casting of Forest Whitaker, mostly because every movie I watched of him he was just acting as himself, but I can look past that even if it ends up happening in this one too.

Yeah, I'm digging this one a lot better than The Force Awakens. This looks really gritty, and I like the thought of that. The scale looks spot on too, so the scene with the AT-ATs looks frighteningly cool. I'm in.

It makes me happy Disney bought Star Wars, I like the whole idea of having Star Wars commercialized and getting a new movie every year, even if it is not canon, who cares, it is Star Wars, it is a winning formula no matter where you put it. It is made by cool nerds like us and they know what we like.
I like the whole Tomb Raider twist they are putting into the saga, some fresh ideas that don't stray away from the original formula make things interesting. I did like The Force Awakens trailers better though. This one looks more rushed in a way.
Now I hope EA makes a Rogue Squadron game that is not online only and actually has a campaign.
Preferable one that is solely focused on aerial/spaceship battles, and of course with VR support, but knowing Dice, we'll probably just get another online only FPS game.
I give them credit for the art design though. They truly have the potential to make a great game, they just don't do it for some reason.

I consider myself to be a huge Star Wars fan and my reaction was completely "Meh." Commercialized is right.

I was sold immediately when I heard the classic alarm. Can't wait to see it. And I agree on Forest Whitaker spidershinobi, I like him as an actor, but he always plays himself.

I consider myself to be a huge Star Wars fan and my reaction was completely "Meh." Commercialized is right. I empathize with that. There needs to be a 4th option... 'Whaaa' doesn't quite do it for me. Instead of surprise or curiosity it's more of an ambivalent 'Whatever'... (Although I'll invariably end up watching it anyway) Looks a bit B-Movie-ish to me for some reason. Carrie Fisher born again... And don't tell me this little gurl is going to replace the story role of Kyle Katarn in Dark Forces 1. That's unacceptable!!

I don't know if commercialization is something we can really bitch about when it comes to Star Wars. It was probably the most commercialized franchise in existence even before the Disney buyout. I'm just glad Lucas doesn't have anything to do with it anymore.
I for one am excited to see Donnie Yen in it.

Am I the only one who heard the line: "This is a rebellion isn't it? I rebel!' Just terrible.

It looks.... incredibly predictable, awfully so. The worst part is that the ending has already been revealed before the movie has been shown, they find the blueprints for the Death Star, woopie fucking doo.

Well, since most of you won't be going to see the film, I sure do hope there will be more room at the theater this time.

@guillion I hope your spoiler is made up. I am going to pretend it is, and just think of Zack Wylde, Yngwie Malmsteen, and Steve Vai that are just hitting the stage here in Hollywood. Not that I expect any one to know who they are.
