Are there any film fandoms that just annoy the living crap out of you?
These are my personal off-the-top-of-my-head choices (in no order) :
-The Star Wars Fandom (review bombing campaigns for the Disney SW flicks & Star Wars Resistance, original trilogy snobs, prequel haters, witch hunts for prequel actors, cruelty towards George Lucas...it's pretty much the worst fandom in human history) -The Disney fandom, particularly the Disney Renaissance fandom (they adamantly support the most greedy, bureaucratic animation studio in human history to their last dying breath purely out of the nostalgia the studio brought them when they were kids) -The Star Trek Fandom (similar to the Star Wars fandom, composed of nothing but materialistic first world pigs; just look at Comic Book Guy) -The Don Bluth Fandom (a bunch of adult nostalgiatards who glorify the fuck out the aging retired hack, denounce The Black Cauldron as bad for not having Bluth's involvement, and trash Titan A.E., despite the last item having an enormous amount of passion, money and effort put into it) -The Incredibles Fandom -The Brad Bird Fandom -The 2003 Clone Wars Fandom -The Genndy Tartakovsky Fandom (the most delusional know-nothing kids imaginable who are so blindly dedicated to him that they carry out online bombing campaigns against projects that he was either excluded from (Star Wars Resistance) or ones that replaced his own (The Emoji Movie) -The Predator Fandom -The Aliens Fandom -The Terminator Fandom -The James Cameron Fandom -The Passion of the Christ Fandom (nothing but christian zealots!) -The Mel Gibson fandom (nothing but christian zealots, anti-semites and far-right white nationalists who believe that Hollywood is "run by jews" who have a prejudice against the holy saint himself Mel Gibson) -The John Wayne fandom -The Matt Stone fandom -The Trey Parker fandom -The South Park Fandom -The Hayao Miyazaki fandom (he's a good director and I respect him, but IMO he's overrated and his fanbase is composed of insane weeaboo SJWs that treat him like the single greatest artist of modern times. It's ridiculous.)

Balder - "The Passion of the Christ" has very vocal fans, though. It's a really mad fandom for such a lame franchise (most of the movies are remakes). They are very passionate about the movie, they burn witches and everything. But I've never heard about this "Brad Bird" movie. Is it related to Birdman? Spirit Bomb - Where does the Alien vs Predator fandom fits in? Is it an Alien or Predator fandom?

I was more thinking of Terminator, Alien, Predator and James Cameron as people who like these things are fairly equal minded about what sucks and what do not, and they're not exactly famous for being toxic or anything.

Melee must be trying to compete with stratogustav and have more hate threads than he does list threads.

I just thought of a few more movie fandoms that I'm going to throw on my list: -The John Wayne fandom -The Matt Stone fandom -The Trey Parker fandom -The Miyazaki fandom Cervantes I've never met anyone who loves the AvP movies, so therefore I've never encountered the fandom. I'm skeptical if the fandom even exists. I guess that's a good thing. Balder That's where you're wrong. Disney, Don Bluth, James Cameron, Genndy Tartakovsky and Brad Bird all have intensely vocal fandoms. Just look at the way Terminator fans treat Terminator 3, or the way SW fans treat The Last Jedi or the prequel trilogy. Or the way Predator fans glorify the fuck out of the first film like it's the Citizen Kane of action films. Or the bombing campaigns Genndy Tartakovsky's fanbase carried out against The Emoji Movie and Star Wars Resistance (granted, the former was a shit film, but still). OR the way Don Bluth's fandom continues to lambaste and denounce The Black Cauldron because the almighty Don Bluth didn't direct it. And then there's the Aliens fandom, consisting of patriotic alpha males who can't accept that the film has any flaws or accept that the first Alien did several things better than the sequel. These fandoms consist of the most delusional & desperate losers I've ever met. This is why I no longer align myself with fandoms. I can't stand these crazy bungholes.

Melee must be trying to compete with stratogustav and have more hate threads than he does list threads. Yeah, but Strat's are fun to read while these are rather bland.

Or the way Predator fans glorify the fuck out of the first film like it's the Citizen Kane of action films. Citizen Kane wishes it was a film starring Arnold. I'm a bit puzzled about Aliens: isn't the entire lesson of the film that the cocky, muscular and well armed marines are completely obliterated by the aliens due to their reliance on pure strenght and supposed armed superiority, to the point that people have recognized echoes of the Vietnam war in some scenes? I get that there are misaimed fans everywhere, but as far as Aliens go, most of the fans I know get that the brief military power trip at the beginning of the movie is quickly subverted, especially since it's later revealed that the military are being misled by corporate interests - Ellen Ripley, the civilian, turns out to be more equipped to deal with the aliens. I've never seen much of an "alpha male patriotic" fandom for that movie, since it has an obvious disdain for those things: it has a female, civilian protagonist and one of the main themes is motherhood, with the final battle being explicitly two mothers protecting their children ("Get away from her, you bitch!"). That said, I do prefer the first film, as I'm more inclined towards horror than action. I've just never seen much of a bad vocal fandom for any movie in that franchise.

I think I don't like the Final Fantasy film fandom. Everyone that love those movies that I've met (one person) have been dickbags.

Yeah, but Strat's are fun to read while these are rather bland. And they're mostly unfounded. You are being too kind to Skippy. Can't you just see him in McDonalds, typing away at his laptop, all triggered at someone buying something, someone selling something, while he sits there not providing anything for society or himself...
Suddenly Skippy gets #triggered, and we get these threads.

At least Raven did. scipioafricanus why do you call him Skippy? I thought I'd get the funny Australian names. Spirit Bomb Don't go out of your way, looking for things to hate. I'm sure you're burning out quickly. Trust me, you don't want that.

Skippy: the Australian version of Lassie. Weird, why did I assume you'd know him? Now 100% more Furry friendly. (Edit: And now, Youtube thinks I'm a Furry). So, why the name Skippy? Because he's always hopping mad? Get it, hopping? Ha ha ha!.... I'll see myself out now. Bye.
