Just so people don't think I'm a totally blind fanboy of the N, I'll say this again: I think their decision not to include an AC adapter with the new 3DS is cheap, stupid and a bad move for consumers who want it (like me). But that still doesn't compare relatively speaking to the nefarious plans MS had with their DRM control on the Xbone-- plans that Sony was also considering and apparently, being already built in to the architecture, can be turned "off" or "on" at the company's whim... Isn't Rich a Nintendo fan too? But yeah, the guy has an unrealistic mindset when it comes to the game industry, and that got in the way of his commentary... I've mentioned his speech on Capcom years ago, but by then I was already iffy about his opinions. I assume he's a good guy, though. He's made a few funny videos in the past, and I bet he isn't obnoxious in his personal life. Man, these 3 big companies are making mistakes left and right, but Nintendo has this issue of never back pedalling on theirs. To be frank I wish the Ps4 was also another WiiU (like the Xbone) because the console market isn't terribly attractive as of 2016, but if the people decided to favor it I guess we can rule out the possibility of any of the 3 companies making an effort. And glad those words pushed you up, teddykongcountry.

It depends on your definition. I'm obviously a big fan of Nintendo, but not a blind one-- I don't make excuses for-- or fail to acknowledge-- the stupid things they do (either intentionally or unintentionally). I think a fanboy is the opposite, because they interpret a criticism of a company they like as a personal attack on them as an individual and attempt to brush problems 'under the rug' by downplaying them...all the while emphasizing the failures of others. As usual, Adam Sessler put it best (god I miss his mature, educated, articulate and intelligent commentary in video games-- there's few like him) when he notes that, when it comes to the big picture, competition is good: www.youtube.com/watch?v=gBGXYjaO8RI

I've done that 3-4 time a week for 3 years. He bitches about the Wii U just as much as he does about the PS4 and Xbox One.

You have it all wrong guys, Rich is a Sega fanboy. Just look up videos where he talks about graphics or Sega, he ALWAYS brings up the Genesis and his fond memories of it (Not to mention that one time he posted like 5 videos of himself modding a Genesis and cleaning carts among other things)

I remember that time, many years ago, when Mark mentioned in a review that people in the Youtube comments were calling him a Sega fanboy... Then he thanked them for it, as he indeed is. It was awesome.
You can be a complete fanboy and not lose your critical sense. But not many people can conciliate both things.

He can totally be a fanboy of SEGA and Nintendo. I don't see the problem in that! I know because I am.
And hey, who doesn't bitch about the WiiU? Talk about that, what kind of Nintendo fan doesn't bitch about the WiiU?!

I'm also a Sega fanboy and just complained about their treatment of the Valkyria Chronicles series in the Sega thread.

Noticed recently that the Truxton goal has dropped to $11,111...! Hmmm, that's more reasonable I suppose.... It's still just one trip, but... with just another $500 bucks or so to go, hell why not!... Maybe follow up with another road trip next year, or go to E3 again... I just hope the next goal after that gets the site (or maybe even Undertow) back... Then you'll get more of mah munnei. Do you hear me Karnage??...

leaon79s That is nice to see. I suspect now that the Patreon seems to have hit a wall, or at least slowed down a lot after $10,500, smaller incremental goals will help keep things slowly increasing. I suspect if things hit for the Truxton project, he'll have another goal after that happens.
