You know what's weird? I was listening to the Friendcast, and wow! Those guys sure love Overwatch. But at the same time the idea of playing a game based on counterpicking sounds so subpar to me... Like, I don't actually know how people are enjoying that game, and everything said about it makes it the whole thing sound worse than it should be.
Right now I'm wondering if developers totally overshot that "need" for shooters with characters and made the idea "bad" for the next years.
That said Overwatch has a lot of balance issues at the moment, some characters are quite obviously overpowered as whenever I look videos of it it would seem like 5 characters always get picked and obtain play of the game. 17 classes to me is also overkill, it just seems pretty worthless to have so many classes in a game limited to 6 players on each team, something tells me they started with something like 8 and they kept adding characters to make a perfect counter wheel but I don't think they counted spamming bullshit Moba abilities into the equation.
