Berating is definitely not allowed, not civil, you cannot remove messages, but if Melee posts a berating comment I already told him we are going to remove those comments, any time he does berating, his comments will be removed, you can remove them too, it is not censoring, berating is simply not acceptable. I tell you what: electric stove tops cook too damn slow! I've only ever used electric stoves so I can't comment on gas-burning ones. In fact I wasn't even aware gas stoves were still common household appliances. I'm not sure I've ever seen one IRL and none of my relatives own gas stoves, either, so I figured that they had been phased out decades ago. |

From any other source, a thread about the existence of electrical appliances would be VERY random. Not even I am that random (which is possibly why I only a TRUE NEUTRAL alignment! REEEE!). However, when one party consistently uses anything and everything to complain and slander, how can you not think their only motive is to rage, which does not go down well with everyone else? These threads turn into flame wars, particularly when one particular party needlessly goes nuclear, prompting the opposition to launch retaliatory strikes, and everyone tries to one up each other. So, I advise Balder and scipioafricanus : ignore his threads. If you must say something, say the bare minimum and try not to inflame the thread. Also, right now, I see a bit of ganging up here. Don't. Spirit Bomb : Get some help, no matter what it takes. What do you want to bet Dan E. Kool didn't want to put up with this drama? I'm sure he was not a fan of it, and I am not either! I'm not exactly St. Francis of Assisi myself, but would it kill everyone to try and be REASONABLE? "But he started it-"

I'm also going to add refrigerators and furnaces to my list. Refrigerators are resource-sponges and suck up a disgusting amount of electricity, far too much to be considered acceptable by my standards. I plan on one day discontinuing my refrigerator usage entirely.
Also, I'd like to make an honorable mention: boob lights
Boob lights are an absolute pain in the ass to install & uninstall. I hate them. There's one in my living room that I don't even bother unscrewing even though its bulbs are burned out. Too much effort for too little payoff.

I guess the a/c because it always goes out at the worst possible time. There is always going to be a demand for a/c repairman especially where I live.

For a second I thought you were talking about what professions will survive automation, and the repair professions definitely will survive, considering all those different variants on a cases by case scenario are too hard to automate. |
