Clearly, people are just "gold farming" these forum accounts so they can rack up posts and then they sell them on eBay to the highest bidder. ProBoards must have caught on to their wily ways! Damn, my plan is ruined now. I would have gotten away with it if it wasn't for you meddling kids. All is falling into place. Clearly, everyone wants to be part of the hippest, coolest, most awesomest message board on the interwebs. Problem is, sometimes those people just don't have the time to post. This would naturally be unfortunate for all; However, some crafty individuals have figured out that if they create an account and start to accumulate posts under those accounts, they can then sell those accounts to the highest bidder. Therefore, they make out with hundreds of thousands of dollars by selling away an account they never had any intention of using for themselves.
And then Steven, if that's even his real name, makes out with an account at the Wind Squid Pub with 10s, 20s, possibly even... 50s of posts, that he didn't really earn. And, of course, you know as well as I do how all those posts can bring you lots of fame and fortune amongst the kiddies who look to more established posters as guide and role models on the forum. Well, now they basically get the credit for all these posts about games and having a large post count that they've never even worked toward.
Yes, I know... it sounds very shady, because it IS. And likely highly illegal, which is why ProBoards likely struck them down.

I'm not sure that "chilluminati" ever even existed. It is quite possible that we all imagined the entire thing and that what we thought was someone posting was no more than simple random coding that materialized out of nothingness. A remnant of message boards that once existed long ago, floating through cyberspace and attaching itself to this forum.
