I didn't know where to put this because the game has been released on multiple platforms so I put it in general gaming discussions.
Every one knows Borderlands games are some of the best games in the genre and of their generations and many consider them to be amongst their favourites and for good reason. Open world FPS with RPG elements with some of the best gameplay in the FPS genre with great art style, Characters and is known for it's humour. Many consider these games to be flawless. but I found a flaw. And that is the character Zero the Ninja.
In Borderlands games you pick a character with a unique skill set and level them up as you go along. And by level 15 you usually have enough points to level up your character to be a unstoppable bad ass or enough to use the special abilities to a good extent. but this doesn't apply to Zero because it takes two entire playthroughs to level him up enough for him to use his special abilities or for them to be effective enough for it to matter.
And this includes all side missions as well as the main story line. So the character is completely wasted because you don't really get to use the abilities that make him what he is so you might as well forget he even exists. And the worst part is the second playthrough is soo brutally hard that it makes it impossible to get through without a fully developed skill set. So I was stuck in a limbo with this character and had to quit. For me this is bad game design. It wouldn't of been so bad if they let you play the second playthrough with the same difficulty as the first.
But what a shame because Zero is one of the most bad ass video game characters ever. and i mean on the same level as Raiden from Metal Gear Solid.
