Haha lol, I haven't even seen the first one, however, I'll happily discuss all of them when I do.

I haven't seen any of the movies or the original series? Anyone think there are worth checking out still for a Star Trek newb? (I've only seen the first two of the new movies and a handful of Next Generation episodes back in the day)
Also if enough people around here have seen it, maybe we should do Mortal Kombat(2021)? The new one came out last weekend.

Just watched this movie last night and it's good:
"I know a lot of people think this movie is just kind of okay, however, I think this was really good. Not as good as The Wrath of Khan of course, but much better than The Motion Picture. It gives us a part of Star Trek that was part of the show that has not been shown in any movie up to this point. We get more ground action along with space battles, and this time with the most iconic alien villain of Star Trek, the Klingon. I do not know how they thought of having Christopher Lloyd as the villain, Commander Kruge, but it was genius. I never thought he would be a good Klingon, but he was great. He plays a quite ruthless Klingon, but he is smart and not a brute like so many of the Klingons are. While the second movie drastically changed the dynamic by killing one of its main characters, I think this movie did a good job writing him back in in a way that stays true to the Star Trek universe. There are lots of great character interactions such as when the old crew breaks out Dr. McCoy and steals the Enterprise. Just a really damn solid Star Trek story that I enjoyed a lot more than I thought I would, given this movie's reputation of being just alright." 4/5
