I've been playing Code Name Steam on the 3ds, and I'm finding it surprising difficult.

SSB 64. I recently started playing it at a competitive level for the first time and I'm amazed by how fun it is. The game has an amazing combo metagame; virtually every character can 0-death, which is something you can't say about Brawl or even Melee. My only complaint isn't even with the game, but rather the damn N64 controller and its horrendous joystick. I'm appalled by its design & build quality. You think Nintendo would've realized how bad that joystick was and released a new controller during its lifespan, like Microsoft did with the original Xbox controller. Why Nintendo?
I'm interested in buying a Gamecube to N64 controller adapter, but I imagine there would be some input delay. The Hori Minipad is another option, but it's in high demand and I'm not the kind of guy who would spend $80 on one controller.

Just booted up Yoshi's Wooly World for the first time and I'm really impressed with the graphics and laid back relaxing gameplay.

Yoshi's Wooly World is the only WiiU game that I REALLY want to play. I'm stunned by the wonderful art direction. But I'm not about to buy a console for one game.

I think it's really comfortable, and I really enjoy all of uses developers had for it. Because the thing is so goofy, there's like a million ways developers had the player hold it. You can see that as a testament to the "poor" design, but I find it really cool. Then again, maybe I'm the weird one. All of your complaints are mine for every PlayStation controller I've used.

To put it simply, the joystick is downright terrible and the worst part of the N64 controller. Not only is the thumbgrip small and made of hard plastic, but there's also so little resistance to it and pushing it as far as it will go actually makes the stick rise slightly out of its socket (at least mine does). And they wear out extremely quickly. God I hate this f***ing thing.

To be fair, the N64 analog stick is far more accommodating than the 3DS analog nub for adventure games i.e. Legend of Zeldas. That's the primary reason I hesitated in picking up Majora's Mask remake for the 3DS.

I just played Splatoon for the first time and I really liked it, the multiplayer matching is pretty imbalanced as far as matching people at the same level but the gameplay mechanics are awesome and the single player is most enjoyable.

Wait, Splatoon has a single player mode? News to me.

Yes indeed. Splatoon's single player campaign is a pretty decent shooter/platformer that stands pretty well on its own, and teaches a lot of techniques that are useful in the multiplayer sections.

Ended up playing Saints Row The Third, just to outfit my character as Steelport Heroine and unlock the 3 Genki girls. hatsunemiku598Beating games on 1 credit is always a nice goal, but in order to get there I suggest that you use those credits until you are confident enough to not need continues. The issue of always trying to win without continues is that you become well trained in the stages you can beat consistently, and only in those.

Still on Soulcalibur V, I know the game is old but it is new to me, so I had been having fun making a bunch of KOF characters using Devil Jin's preset.
