I'm not sure how to rank Ubisoft, it had the most stuff I'm interested in but also had the most cringe-worthy moments.

Pimpjira Now that you mention it. It would be cool to hear the ratings to each speech, like 9 out of 10, or 5 out of 10, etc.. I would say from a selling point Microsoft's was at least an 8.5, maybe 9. I have to see Sony's. I didn't care for Sony's last year content, but I recognize it was a 9.5 almost 10. However it looks like this year Microsoft will have the upperhand. I doubt Sony has something good this year, specially after they already dropped everything last year. Even one game of Nintendo will beat Sony this time around. I mean as cool as VR is, it is hard to show it on a conference, and I don't recall they having anything else to offer. Microsoft will have 6 Teraflops, not that it matters without good content, but people in the West care about that kind of stuff for fidelity reasons, and they do have a few titles worth celebrating. From a developer's point of view, Microsoft's speech was probably bad news because now they will have to make 3 versions of the same game, and it is certain Sony will do the same. I'm out of my house so I'm missing Sony's conference. I'm still excited to go see it when I get home. I'm curious what they will show. ----------------------------------------------------------- Edit: OK so I just watched Sony's, and holy fuck! 10 out of 10. Those bastards know how to steal people's money. Just with Biohazard 7 on VR alone, I mean they even make me want to get an EA game like X-Wing VR, and this may be the very first time I will also get a Call Of Duty, holy crap they know how to sell. Batman Arkham on VR, Spider-Man coming from an internal studio. I mean I'm not a big budget games kind of guy at all, but I'm all for those games God Of War, Horizon, Detroit, Final Fantasy XV on VR, Bend's game, Kojima's game. Yup, my wallet is gone. I'll say something though, those are no real games per se, they are more like nerd experiences.

stratogustav isn't Xbox One S going to have the same hardware as the previous Xbox One? Sea of Thieves also looked really fun!

Yeah, it's just a slim version.
Sony's press conference was pretty good. I'm looking forward to Spider-Man the most out of the reveals probably, I'll be pretty damn happy if we finally get another great Spider-Man game. Resident Evil was.....different, I need to check out that demo. The change in direction for God of War looks pretty cool as well. Not sure about that zombie game yet, wasn't impressed by it. Not sure what to make of the Kojima game yet either with that teaser but it has my interest.

The change of direction from Santa Monica was on point. I knew a God Of War was coming as soon as they were talking about needing extra power for graphics, but the element of surprise really helped.
Insomniac is a trusted dev for me, not because of Ratchet which has good reviews, but because of Resistance 3 which I really liked and I don't even like shooters, so what they will do with Spider-Man is probably good.
Resident Evil was the biggest for me, Capcom did action games out of 5 and 6, which were good to me, but nothing in comparison to 4 which was a horror game.
People said this demo reminded them of Silent Hill and PT, not to me, yes is horror, but this reminded me of Resident Evil 4, that's why I was able to tell this was Resident Evil VII as soon as hit the stairs.
This game reminding me of Resident Evil 4 is simply the best that can happen, specially considering you will be able to play it on VR from start to finish.
Quantic Dream could had done better with Beyond Two Souls, but Heavy Rain showed their potential, they make truly interactive movies, Detroit looks like one I would like to see because if the cyberpunk nature of it.
About Bend's game, I'm sure it will be fine, it didn't look good at first, but considering what those guys used to do back in the day with Syphon Filter something good will have to come out of them.
Kojima's game I don't even know what it is, but just that one image of those guys up in the sky was good enough to wow me, you don't see that kind of shit from other people.
It is funny because when my brother and I were growing up we knew with absolute certainty that Konami had the most genius people behind them, just by looking at their games, and we were just kids.
Now that we live in the future and we get to see Kojima's presence, he represents exactly everything we thought the people behind those studios were like.

I've read Devolver is supossed to announce 6 games this conference, so I'm just going to give the prize of best conference to the company that announces the most of them (As long as they don't announce Serious Sam 4 is going to be exclusive to the Virtual Boy or some nonsense like that).

Mates, sorry for my lack of posting lately (really busy week), so here are a few brief impressions:
1. Scalebound is looking better and... hey, a PC release! Woohoo! Sadly, it'll probably be tied to the terrible, terrible Windows store/drm. Brr. 2. RE7 got my interest. I prefer RE being more about survival/resource management in an horror situation than horror itself (the trailer/demo, being reminiscent of games like Amnesia, Outlast, PT etc. is going more for horror itself), but I'm cool with it. 3. Kojima sure knows how to make a good impression. I also think it's nice that he kept in touch with Norman Reedus after the Silent Hills cancellation. 4. RECore kinda lost my interest. It looks nice, but a very "standard" 3d platformer, which may be cool with most people but that I tend to not enjoy very much. Also, I lost a lot of faith in Inafune as a creator in the latest years (Ninja Gaiden Z and the way the handled Mighty No 9 being the main offenders). 5. The Last Guardian has finally a release date! It seems the hype surrounding it kinda died down, but the game still looks very well made. 6. Horizon Zero Dawn still impresses me a lot. That looks like a very fun game. 7. The new Zelda, surprisingly, got my full attention. What I saw of the gameplay looked good.
Besides those, none of the other things caught my attention. In general, I think last years' E3 felt more exciting - to me, this year had nothing unexpected besides RE7 and Kojima's new game, and we know nothing about this one.
At least we are getting very far from those dark Kinect years. And luckily, VR isn't being pushed like motion controls were, so it's all good.

Cervantes Horizon looks like an attempt from Guerrilla to replicate the Shadow Of The Colossus experience, just in a less terryfying more action driven way. I like what I see, but I would had preferred if the narrative was more implicit and without the main character voice dialogue. There is something to be said about telling a story with a silent protagonist. X-Wing VR is a dream come true for me, my biggest hope is that it has a campaign or EA will lose me like they always do. Last year I was excited for Battlefront, also something that looked dreamy at first, and it all went to shit when they didn't put a campaign. This is also the first time around I'm going to try a Call Of Duty, I just wished it didn't come with the Remastered one because I'm not interested about playing that one. I also hope it has a campaign because if Activision makes it into a multiplayer platform like Destiny they will lose me like they always do.

What I expect: - a complete shitshow. What we'll probably get: - a complete shitshow. What I wish to see: - humorous videos on youtube mocking the shitshow. So far, Konami 2010 E3 briefing is the best. My impressions: Microsoft's conference was decent Tekken 7 with the inclusion of Akuma and him being canon is an absolute shitshow, its like Ono and Harada were drinking one day and someone was writing their dumb ideas down Sony's conference while good, had nothing that caught my attention, not even Resident Evil. EA... lol Ubisoft has Steep which looks like Skate on snow I guess thats it.

Akuma man, this is going to have repercussions in the future. Those guys are buddies, so it doesn't surprise me. They are both fucked up in in the head, maybe that's why they are good at making games.

There is something to be said about telling a story with a silent protagonist. That's something I totally agree with. By the way, that's also an obviously annoying aspect in the Scaleborn gameplay video: the main character needs to scream every single thing he does. That's aggravating.

A couple takeaways from me.
Considering how much we saw Norman Reedus' turd chopper, I really hope we don't see his dong. Also, even in digital form, Reedus still looks like the greasiest guy in existence.
I like how Tecmo Koei looked at the current political climate and said "fuck it" and released the Berzerk trailer.
God of War sure doesn't look like God of War anymore.
Resident Evil 7 looks maybe a bit too scary for me. I'm kind of a pussy when it comes to horror games.
If EA doesn't have anything to show of Mass Effect of Star Wars, then shut the fuck up about them until you do.
The new Zelda looks really good.

stratogustav the point I was making is that Microsoft only has to deal with to hardware specs not three.
