I saw that, what a really nice thing that he got featured. That is definitely something to brag about, and no wonder he is doing it. I have to say, that entrance on the Kojima studio looks very rad. I get happy when I see Japanese studios working with fancy equipment because they can do a lot of cool stuff with it. |

Looks like it's going to be a great story. But still lacking proper gameplay footage.
Still not my cup of tea. at his point i could never enjoy a game like this because it's too slow and more story than gameplay. So it's going to be a pass for me but I hope it's not a disappointment for all you kojima fans and all of you who have been anticipating it.

You still have to play a lot of Metal Gears. I'm so behind. I already think Yakuza Collection is the last thing I'll get this gen, unless they have something cool and small along the way. |

Well, on the bright side, any Metal Gear up to Peace Walker can be finished in under 10 hours...Peace Walker closer to 15-18, and then 40-50 for MGSV. I'm kind of assuming that Death Stranding will be around 50 hours as well. I don't know. Reading reviews, and watching the trailers, I think I'm going to give it a pass. It seems like the standard Kojima-weirdness has been amped up, but in way that has no nostalgic value for me...so yeah.... |

After seeing the gameplay I don't think I will get the game on release, but maybe down the line. There was an online trophy on Tomb Raider (2014) where all you had to do is to carry a thing from one point to another. I did this so many times, and I never got the trophy because it would take forever, I would fall asleep trying to do it. It was a relaxing way to listen to some music on Spotify, but not enough to keep me awake. I may actually redownload the game just to finish this. I don't like when things are left undone. Not that it matters, I think there are many other online trophies that are impossible to get at this point from that game. That's why I dislike most online trophies overall. |

My suspicion is that the story is very good, not your typical Walking Dead show, but something more on the Andrew Niccol lane. What may have happened is that these reviewers probably got tired of doing manual labor for 50 hours.
This looks like a Tlamemeh simulator, except it doesn't take place in pre-colonial Central America, but instead in some kind of dystopian future.

Some of the reviews I've seen for this are really weird. Some notable reviewers step outside their area of expertise to try and justify this game, and other reviews I've seen on metacritic can be summed up as:
"The gameplay is dogshit but at least the story is a mess" -guy who still wants to give a good score
The people who're trying to argue that this game is good despite the gameplay itself can't seem to get their point across in a convincing way. I haven't played it, but Death Stranding looks like one of those games that's lacking by most objective measures, but is still able to attract a niche audience thanks to the strong creative force behind it.
I'm saying all this shit now because I'll probably never actually play this game, so I can't give a review myself.

Yeah it's pretty much what we all thought it was going to be. Apparently 6 hours of cut scenes before any real gameplay happens. But the story does sound good and has you wanting to know what happens next. So not my cup of tea but i hope you enjoy it for all those who are interested.
