I would list the ones that are at the top of my head, in no particular order, other than that i honestly do not know xD -R esident E vil Remake Oh... K. Mine Bad... But whatabout them Persona &/or SMTs??... Surely they must make the list...? ![](http://www.exposingsatanism.org/images/icons/question.gif) Or some fighting gheyme like Guilty Gear... Fighting games get old and with constant new games and updates its hard to really choose a favorite, thats just how i see it. Persona?!! pfft SMT Nocturne and Strange Journey are pretty good, but damn are they difficult. Can't remember where i made it in Nocturne, but i'm pretty sure its against a boss battle. In the end, while i love RPGs, i'd go with FF because of its magical world, that is truly out of this world.

Not for me. I was playing Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom yesterday and it still feels as it was brand new.

You will be surprised how many classic games are still in competitions. RoyalFlush who designed my costume fight stick is still one of the top players in the country in Tatsunoko Vs. Capcom which is a very active scene. I entered a KOF 2002 UM tournament here in Cali, but I got my ass kicked. Those Mexican and South American are very good.

Amazon said they already send it, but it is not in my mail yet. I got the Premium Edition like many others in our group, so I'm very excited. And yes, people still play KOF '98 UM over here too. They also do Pocket Fighter, the 3 Street Fighter Alpha games, the first 2 Killer Instinct games, and the old school Mortal Kombat games, all the way to 4. Capcom Vs. SNK Pro, Capcom Vs. SNK 2, Marvel Vs. Capcom 2, and even Super Smash Bros. Melee are still very big. In fact, Melee over here is probably bigger than Pokkén, and Pokkén is not small. They even use CRT TVs, Wii consoles, and GameCube controllers to play it.

In the end, while i love RPGs, i'd go with FF because of its magical world, that is truly out of this world. Oh yeah, howsabout some DMC? Aren't you a Son of Sparda?? I assume you've seen my combo video that i posted last week, that proves my relation to Sparda DMC is a mixed case for me, i liked DMC1, a really great game, but i played it once and moved on. I loved DMC2 as a child, to the point of me imitating Dante's Ebony & Ivory with my hands, never beat it as a child, but i remember it vividly. Come 10 years later, the HD collection is in my possession, i play through DMC1 and think its cool, and then i started DMC2, and oh boy, was i disappointed. I finished it in 2 sessions, basically 3 hours of gameplay. I was shocked because i remember it being a lot cooler than that. It disappointed me greatly, so i never played DMC3 and had a falling out with the series. In 2013 i decided to give DMC3 a run through, and wow, it reinvigorated my love for the series. In the same year i played DMC4 and then my love was complete, in a weird way. DMC4 as a game is mediocre overall, but that combat system makes up for every fault of the game. In a nutshell, DMC4 is half a game. There are 20 missions, with an interesting story, the first 12 missions you play as Nero, a new character in the series, who bears a striking resemblance to Vergil (Dante's brother), but from mission 13 to 18, you'll be playing as Dante, the original Devil Hunter. The final 2 mission are played through using Nero again. Here is the catch, Dante's mission have you essentially backtracking Nero's missions and cleaning up the mess, up until mission 18, which is a unique level for Dante. Its clear that the game was designed with Nero in mind, and Dante was added later in the development and he wasn't supposed to be playable. But dewd, look at that: Dante's combat is essentially 6 weapons, 3 Melee weapons and 3 Guns with 5 Styles to choose from and you can change all of these on the fly without pausing or going through menus. Add to that a plethora of interesting mechanics such as: Jump Cancel, Guard Cancel, Star Rave, Guard Fly, Side Rave, Inertia and Distortion. With all of these at your aid, the possibilities are unimaginable. Suffice to say that DMC4, mechanically, is the best action game out there. All of these options have kept people playing the game for the past 8 years.

Dewd... Nero is Vergil's son! You know what I think... That gurl in DmC... Kat... She was Nero's mother. ![http://st.deviantart.net/emoticons/o/omfg.gif](http://st.deviantart.net/emoticons/o/omfg.gif) Suffice to say that DMC4, mechanically, is the best action game out there. All of these options have kept people playing the game for the past 8 years. So it's gotta be somewhere in that top 10 list right... DMC (3,4,DmC) is the go to series for chain creativity fer shoa. Although those extra long ones are overkill for just one enemy methinks... I still gravitate more towards Ninja Gaiden though.. no super long combos but ye can feel the sharpness of the blade more. Actually been replaying Razor's Edge recently... Can't get enough of it. Feels like it requires more twitch reflex than DMC too as them emenies are seemingly smarter & faster than them DMC mannequins... ![](http://st.deviantart.net/emoticons/n/ninjabattle.gif) But of the 3 major melee actioners of modern times (DMC, God of War, & Ninja Gaiden) - DMC has the best story, got to give it that much. ![](http://st.deviantart.net/emoticons/t/thumbsup.gif)

But i don't think so, regarding the relationship to Kat, as vergil sees her as a lesser being But in DMC4 they've been hinting at it regarding Nero and Vergil, but then, Nelo Angelo happened! These amazing combos aren't about efficiency, they're about looking Kewl as hell. because the stylish meter doesn't net you much points for re-using attacks many times. What always piques my interest is, are the mechanics in DMC4 intentional? because that is creative. Regarding enemy variety, i'd have to give bayonetta that, but in the aggression department, the ninja folks at NG win by a landslide. Was playing NGS2 yesterday on ultimate ninja alone, game is impossible lol I'm disappointed that you would count god of war and not bayonetta DMC4 probably has the highest entry barrier. It took me about a year of training in DMC4 to get a grip on the mechanics and learn how to execute them during actual combat, but the reward is highly satisfying. some would say that i surpassed Sparda himself!

Base on my list I would say Arcade gaming, the SNES, the PS2, the N64, and the PS3, were very significant consoles for me, only having one GameCube title there. Of course all that may change a little by doing a top 100 list, but a list that long would take me forever to make and even more to rank positions.

Falcula18 Oh wow! Hahaha, we are officially competing now. Those are a lot of games. I see you named a lot of new games. That's not very common in this forum, but we accept it no problem. Nice list too. I like many of those you mentioned. I did not know you like the Souls games, that's really cool.
