Today, I picked up a Sony Watchman, which was assembled in Japan in 1983. It still works! However, UHF and VHF channels don't come in over the air anymore. I got it for $6, so I can't complain too much. As a kid, I remember only rich people had these. A quick search online said they went for $150 back then. Using an inflation calculator, that would make it $465 today. I can't believe it came with the warrantee, original (yet corroded) rechargeable batteries, registration card, and the original box! Now I have to figure out how to send it a signal.

It is possible. There are tutorials. This one demo, someone touched the end of an RF adapter cable to the antenna and it displayed Halo CE.

That's awesome. It looks like he has some sort of amplifier attached to it.

Last week, I was gifted an Acer laptop. This speed demon had a whopping 1.8GHz processor and 4Gb RAM. The only thing you can do with it is install Windows XP and some ancient games like Starcraft and Total Annihilation, but I've retained a whole lot of old software from years past. I just have to really careful about going on the internet as it's not very secure.

I just have to really careful about going on the internet as it's not very secure. I usually use another device to download software, and then I put it on a CD or an ancient floppy disk to be safe. Since you are diving back into the Windows XP era, you've got to keep us updated on what you enjoy playing!

I just have to really careful about going on the internet as it's not very secure. I usually use another device to download software, and then I put it on a CD or an ancient floppy disk to be safe. Since you are diving back into the Windows XP era, you've got to keep us updated on what you enjoy playing! It has an ATI graphics card. I don't even know if it still functions. I've only been able to get the pre-renedered/non 3D games, fully working. Other games, they either crash or they give you sound but not graphcs. Currently having internet fails of Melee proportions, but I'll search for the chip drivers when it's ready.
The non-3D games working so far are: Super Noah's Ark 3D - I can't wait for death match! Yeti Sports Mr. Dork compilation
Others I haven't tried are, which would theoretically work: Starcraft 1 Total Annihilation Fuso Truck Empire Angry Birds: Star Wars
Quake 2 maybe not that one, but I think Q1 could.
