Pretty sure that game has single player and local co-op. I didn't get much of a Robotron vibe from that though, looks like the other tons of twin stick shooters that have come out in the last few years. (Dead Nation, Helldivers, etc) Maybe I should look more into it. Yeah, me neither, I'll probably get it eventually but is not a big thing for me because like you said, it doesn't give you those retro vibes. They are the ones that did Dead Nation too, more like a Berzerk style. They also did Outland that can be some kind of Pitfall. I can't wait for Super Stardust VR though. Agreed. Are there really people that says it looks bad? I would love to see Capcom vs. SNK get the same treatment. Atleast the PS2 version is on PS3. It kinda seems that Capcom has lost interest in bringing back their old fighters though. I also want Rival Schools/Project Justice, Power Stone, and Tech Romancer All those are available for the PS3 through the Japanese store. I'm planning to get them too. The PS2 game you are talking about is Capcom Vs. SNK 2, probably the only game that can rival Marvel Vs. Capcom 2. I want that treatment for all Dreamcast racers, fighters, and shooters. They deserve it. The people that saw problems with the 16:9 need a head check, even with the 4:3 borders on a few background objects it still looks flawless, a true 10 in my opinion. Really? Project Justice, Tech Romancer, and Power Stone are Dreamcast games not PS2. Power Stone Collection is on PSP but I don't really like playing fighting games on handhelds.

I remember seeing them as PS1 Classics on the Japanese store. They could had been PS2, I would have to double check next time I buy a Japanese PSN card.

There's no way you saw Tech Romancer, Project Justice, or Power Stone as PS1 classics. Rival Schools though, maybe. It is on PS1.

Some look familiar but I can't put my finger on what it is, some I know, and some I have no idea. Thanks for posting that. Rival Schools is on there, I would rather have the sequel(Project Justice) but still might pick that up if I can.

I could see this or the first game being awesome to break out at a party. Even better if they had cabinet setups!

Galaga Assault has a cabinet, and it definitely needs to be ported to consoles as well. I really want it.

Wow! Looks like Geometry Wars and Galaga had a baby. Seeing the score multiplier go up like that is mouthwatering.

I haven't played Geometry Wars but if this reminds you of it, it sounds like a game I would really like to play. Edit: I just saw Mark's review on 3, and it reminds me of Super Stardust and Nano Assault, which are 2 games I totally love. I'm sure I would like Geometry Wars too.

Nano Assault definitely turned me on to Shin'en, that small German dev team that is responsible for Fast Racing Neo which nearly persuaded me over to the U-side. If you haven't already, Nanostray 1 and 2 on the DS are the precursors to Nano Assault. I've only played the second one but it's such a great 2D shooter, I much prefer it to Assault.

This is on sale in the Nintendo eShop. I might give it a shot.
