That's pretty solid. Yoshi's Cookie wasn't developed by Nintendo just like Mario Is Missing, and Super Mario RPG, were not, but just like Mario Paint they were popular for the name recognition alone.
You didn't like Dracula X, Axelay, and Gradius III?
Mega Man X2, Mega Man X3, and Mega Man 7, were not bad at all. The same goes for the other Final Fight games.
If you like Space Megaforce I really recommend Imperium. It is one of my favorites for sure.

I was going to do more but stopped at 40 because I got tired. I have not played Dracula X or Axelay, Gradius 3 probably would have ended up on it if I gave it more time. More Mega Man probably would have gone on there as well if I went up to 60-70 games.

I added the RPGs. I figured I might as well just for the records. Pimpjira I had been discovering a lot of SNES games I didn't know about. They are not on my lists because they are obscure, but they are really good games. You mentioned Run Saber, that's definitely one, but also Hagane, Skyblazer and Hyper Zone. However out of the popular titles I had been going back to, Act Raiser really reminds me of Dark Souls, specially the second one. The first Act Raiser is a total piece of art, it feels so classy, like you are playing an actual medieval table game like checkers, it's an action platformer though, and the music is so great. P.S.: I just added the 360 because the library is important. If I'm missing any important games probably only Balder would know considering I'm not very familiar with the system. Edit: With all this Fire Emblem talk I just remembered to add those. I don't play RPGs so is easy for me to forget, although I do remember which ones were popular, which is why you'll see them on those lists.

I really hope Nintendo ends up making one of these for the SNES. If they do, I'm sure we would have a couple of SNES Remix games before. Although, we can already make a pretty good idea of what games they would include on it. They are likely to choose from the following: - ActRaiser - Aero The Acrobat - Aero The Acrobat 2 - Axelay - Brawl Brothers - Breath Of Fire - Breath Of Fire II - Castlevania Dracula X - Chrono Trigger - The Combatribes - Contra III The Alien Wars - Cybernator - Darius Twin - Demon's Crest - Donkey Kong Country - Donkey Kong Country 2 - Donkey Kong Country 3 - DoReMi Fantasy - EarthBound - F-Zero - Final Fantasy II - Final Fantasy III - Final Fantasy Mystic Quest - Final Fight - Final Fight 2 - Final Fight 3 - Genghis Khan II - Ghoul Patrol - Gradius III - Harvest Moon - The Ignition Factor - Indiana Jones' Greatest Adventures - Kirby Super Star - Kirby's Dream Course - Kirby's Dream Land 3 - Mario's Super Picross - Mega Man 7 - Mega Man X - Mega Man X2 - Mega Man X3 - Metal Marines - The Legend Of The Mystical Ninja - Natsume Championship Wrestling - Nobunaga's Ambition - Ogre Battle - Pac-Attack - Pac-Man 2 - Pilotwings - Pop'n TweenBee - Pop'n TweenBee Rainbow Bell - Prince Of Persia - R-Type III - Rival Turf! - Romance Of The Three Kingdoms IV - Secret Of Mana - SimCity - Space Invaders - Street Fighter Alpha 2 - Street Fighter II Turbo Hyper - Street Fighter II The World Warrior - Super Adventure Island - Super Adventure Island II - Super Bonk - Super Castlevania IV - Super Earth Defense Force - Super Ghouls 'n Ghosts - Super Mario Kart - Super Mario RPG - Super Mario World - Super Metroid - Super Punch-Out!! - Super R-Type - Super Star Wars - Super Star Wars The Empire - Super Star Wars Return Of The Jedi - Super Street Fighter II - Super Turrican - Super Turrican 2 - Uncharted Waters New Horizons - Vegas Stakes - Wild Guns - Zelda A Link To The Past - Zombies Ate My Neighbors
Those are the games that you can currently find or have been available for either the Wii or the Wii U online stores. So it would make sense to see them choosing from those.

stratogustav I'd buy the SNES Classic with those games on there. What'd be REALLY funny, though, is a N64 Mini. Can you imagine Nintendo making those controllers again? Ha!

Dan E. Kool I have a Wii U Super Smash Bros. controller that looks exactly like the actual GameCube controller. I do not longer own a regular GameCube controller, but I swear this one looks a lot bigger. So they are definitely not afraid to do it. I also have an exact replica of the Super Famicom controller made by Nintendo themselves. They were giving those through their Nintendo Club program. I end up buying mine, but it is totally worth it, and I highly recommend to play all those SNES games I mentioned for the Wii or the Wii U, since it works for both. That way there is no need to wait for the actual SNES Classic to come out if it ever does. Plus I'm sure if it ever does it would not come out with all those games on the store, only some.

stratogustav I just meant because the N64 controller is so wonky. Any guesses on how much a N64 or even Game Cube Classic would be? Not as low as 60 bucks, right?

stratogustav I just meant because the N64 controller is so wonky. Any guesses on how much a N64 or even Game Cube Classic would be? Not as low as 60 bucks, right? Depends of inflation. Plus we are probably taking of 2032 or 2033. So no idea. You are better off with the Virtual Console. A Plug & Play of those systems may not even happen. As of right now the best console to play retro games is the Wii. It plays: - Arcade - Commodore 64 - GameCube - Genesis - Master System - Neo Geo - Nintendo - Nintendo 64 - Super Nintendo - TurboGrafx-16 - Wii - WiiWare You can make the same case for the Wii U considering it has a Wii built-in, added its own Wii U games, but you lose your ability to play GameCube games. To the Wii U they also added a lot of handheld games, like from the Game Boy Advance and the Nintendo DS for example, so there is that.

Are Virtual Console games on the WiiU upscaled? Yes, it has to be the case, or otherwise they would be displayed in a very small window with a big frame around it. However they don't look as good as the ones on the NES Classic. However if you still have a CRT TV you still have the option to use an A/V cable as that is how those games were meant to be played. I use the HDMI and they look good enough. Funny enough for the Wii U they sell GameCube controllers, but other than Wind Waker and Twilight Princess they don't really have any other GameCube games. However you can play all your Western released GameCube games with the regular Wii.

Thread revival.
I just watched a video from IGN recently where they discussed which games they'd put on a N64 Classic Edition. Disappointingly, they only came up with a handful of games. Keeping with what guidelines Nintendo has basically set with the NES and Super NES Classic, here's my N64 Classic list.
- Super Mario 64 - Mario Kart 64 - Banjo Kazooie - LoZ Ocarina of Time - Star Fox 64 - Pokemon Snap - Cruisin' USA - Super Smash Bros - Mario Party 2 - LoZ Majora's Mask - Wave Race 64 - Bomberman 64 - Paper Mario - F-Zero X - Perfect Dark
That's 15 games. The NES Classic had 30 and the SNES has 20, give or take, so I'm betting that the N64 Classic will have less than 20 but more than 10. That also goes along with the higher price Nintendo asks for N64 games on the Virtual Console. There are a couple 3rd Party games, but most are 1st Party, again following what Nintendo did for the previous Classic Editions. The big change I'd want to see is for the N64 Classic to have four controller ports. Two player just won't cut it for the N64.
You could argue that there's too many racing games and I might agree, but I could also name a few more. Perhaps Nintendo will decide to pack in only one Zelda game, in which case I'd drop Majora's Mask in favor of OoT. I debated Donkey Kong 64 (I like it) but it's not very popular with the kids these days, so I left it out. I only left out GoldenEye for possible licensing issues.

The Nintendo Classic console that I'm really hoping for, though, is the original Game Boy. I'm guessing I'd probably be one of the only people to buy it, but I don't care. There are tons of great games for the Game Boy that I'd love to see in HD, preferably with the SNES Super Game Boy enhancements.
- Donkey Kong - Tetris - Final Fantasy Adventure - Super Mario Land 1 and 2 - LoZ Link's Awakening - R Type 2 - Metroid 2 - Mega Man V - Pokemon Red/Blue - Gargoyles Quest - Wario Land 1 and 2 - Mario's Picross - Castlevania II - Dr Mario - Kirby's Dream Land - Contra Operation C - Kid Dracula - Harvest Moon

Are Virtual Console games on the WiiU upscaled? Somehow I missed this in January. I played through Xenoblade Chronicles on the Wii U, and the upscaling really did wonders. On the Wii, it is really muddy looking. I played through most of the portable Zelda games on the Wii U, and the upscaling looked good as well.

Dan E. Kool - The N64 games I would add to that list are Sin & Punishment, Mischief Makers, Bangai-O and Kirby 64. Besides S&P, I don't like the others all that much, but at least you get more different genres represented. The GB list is spot on. Can't think of anything else.
