VROOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM-VROOOOOMMMMMMMMMMM!
I got Burnout: Legends for the PSP. With this game, you got to be willing to take risks, because you get rewarded for doing the crazy stuff. And when you crash, it's always like: 'Ooooh, that had to hurt!'

I've tried one of the Burnout games (can't remember which though), and as a non car game fan, I'd say it's one of the better ones.

Amazing series. My favorite would be Revenge. Burnout Paradise is probably the only racing game from last gen that made good use of HD, as the difficulty in that game came from going too fast, so fast that sometimes you can't see anything, and here comes my gripe with the series. It is simply way too easy 90% of the time, until you get to the final few races. In order to improve it, they would have to make the AI a lot more aggressive. NFS games have had aggressive AI throughout many games, last one was Rivals where the cops AI was pretty damn good (I've lost 500k points in that game due to being busted by 5 cops chasing me)
The original criterion members that made burnout so good are no longer working at Criterion. They're an independent studio now, and their first(?) game is Dangerous Golf, which seems to test the destruction mechanics for their promised Burnout spiritual successor.

Burnout 3: Takedown is easily one of my favorite racing games. As I don't have a working PS2 anymore I've wished it would get an HD remaster.

They have said that their next project is going to be a racing game, so I wonder how that will turn out. I heard that Dangerous Golf is alright but overpriced at $20 and not very much content.

A month after it came out it was discounted by 40%. I'll probably buy it eventually, but it seems to be a tech demo.

It sounds Iike these are the games that influenced the change the Need For Speed games experienced going from the 6th gen to the 7th gen.

It sounds Iike these are the games that influenced the change the Need For Speed games experienced going from the 6th gen to the 7th gen. Criterion developed Hot Pursuit and Most Wanted, and helped out some with Rivals. So that could be a big part of it. I liked Hot Pursuit the most out of those since it's not open world.

It sounds Iike these are the games that influenced the change the Need For Speed games experienced going from the 6th gen to the 7th gen. They turned need for speed into need for burnout during the 7th gen. It was better when these two franchises were completly different from one another. Burnout was its own thing and need for speed was its own thing. I wish the people who made the 2005 version of most wanted did the new one instead of criterion. The new most wanted I hated along with the 2010 version of hot pursuit although some things about hot pursuit weren't that bad. Seems like the need for speed games during the 7th gen just got worse and worse instead of better. Nowadays I dont even recongize need for speed anymore.

The only need for speed game I liked from the 7th gen was pro street. I know a lot of people didn't like but I did. I did not care for hot pursuit and the newer most wanted although some things about hot pursuit were alright, I just didn't care for it. To make things worse I wasted $60 on a brand new copy of hot pursuit and found out I didn't like it.
