I also intend to finally play it by the end of this year. From the little I saw, it seems to be a great game.

This is a game I'd love to play sometime, it's just that classy rockstar kinda game. Now would be the perfect time to get on the bandwagon too.

For what it is worth, Quentin Tarantino says it is his favorite movie and judges his potential girlfriends on if they like it. Nope: wiki.tarantino.info/index.php/Tarantino's_favorite_films It is GBU.

scipioafricanus well he's not very consistent, but most sources on the internet puts GBU over Rio, and one list I found had Jaws on top.

I love it when things on the internet are labeled RARE.

I almost forgot to ask before we move on to the next game discussion; I want to play this game with all the DLC. Do I buy all the DLC before playing the base game? Or do I finish the base game, then buy all the DLC?

DLC doesn't matter. Undead nightmare can be played anytime, but makes sense to play after so you know who the characters are. It doesn't have any effect on the standard game. Everything else is either multiplayer stuff or weapons packs.

Oh thanks, for some reason I thought there were single player DLC not counting the Undead Nightmare (which I already have a physical copy of). I'm now ready to play it after I'm done with my exams.

Ahh, that reminds me, why didn't GTA 4 & 5 get a zombie DCL? Or a zombie cheat code? It would've been so awesome. WTF Rockstar?

GTA 4 was more before the surge of zombie stuff whereas 5 was after...? If my timing is right.

I finished this game 2 days ago with 100% of game completion. I'm impressed with how lively the world feels compared to a lot of other open world games; stuff happened all around you at all times it seems (random encounters, animals, stranger tasks etc.). It's a beautiful game, in other words it holds up pretty well. The story was very intriguing with the plot to kill Bill(no pun intended). (A small spoiler ahead, just saying!) Unfortunately it was pretty anti-climactic how you just end up finding Bill randomly in the Mexicans HQ and just kill him there. I felt they did a much better job at handling Escuela's death/capture. But whatever, the ending was still pretty good with a cool twist that actually changed the gameplay afterwards.
If you're going after 100% completion be ready for a lot of grinding. There was a lot of back tracking which would have been better if there was a fast travel point in all of the towns. Riding your horse from location to location is extremely tedious some times. Mashing a button just to keep the same pace is redundant, especially when it drains the horse's stamina (same shit with running). The game had some pretty good missions, but it was far from perfect. It had a couple of shovel ware missions which just dragged.
