I have never played Bayonetta. Interesting because since the only console I own in which the game came out is the Ps3, I don't even consider the possibility of playing it. Must be a shame, but that's life.

By the way, I haven't played the sequel. I know it only exists because Nintendo banked it, but I still think Platinum Games should have shopped the game around some other publishers, I'm pretty sure someone would have picked it up evetually. It being a Wii U exclusive was a really terrible destiny for the game, as it's now doomed to bad sales and obscurity until Nintendo decides to port it to another console. The sequel is pretty cool, but its more frustrating than the first game with really questionable design choices. One of which, is the 'Flying-swimming-aerial boss fights', they absolutely break the flow of the game and seem like awful padding as the ability for actual fights take a back-seat for 'wow so cool" hand-holding segments.

Great news! Sega just released an old Bayonetta free flash game on Steam as an april fools joke... But the little game's achievements hide a website with a countdown to April 11. It most certainly means a Steam port of the original. That's awesome, as Sega has a really good history with pc ports, like Valkyria Chronicles, Alien Isolation, Sonic Generations, Binary Domain etc: they run at much higher resolutions (Valkyria runs well in 4k), stable 60fps and extra content. Consider me very hyped. It could also mean a sequel, but I think it's unlikely - a sequel would be teased at a big event like E3 or something. Edit: forgot to post any links. Here it is.

HOLY F***, IT'S MOTHERF****** BAYONETTA ON PC!
The first reviews on Steam are looking really good: 4K, stable 60fps, a variety of graphics options (antialiasing etc.) and a few bonus contents (digital art book and OST).
Edit: I've already bought the game. I don't do this often (buying right at release), but hey, it's one of my favourite games ever. My birthday is this week, so it's a pretty nice gift. THANKS, OBAMA. I mean, Sega/Platinum!

By the way, the PC port is really damn good and the art direction shines when you look at the game through higher resolutions. How is the Switch port? Has anyone played it?
