A drunk pineapple giving thumbs up! (and the other one) Never the reviews for information - but always the ones for a good laugh (or at least a chuckle...) Although I'm gonna have to get me some of that pineapple now. Man... I one to try those beers so much... They don't sell them in Norway...

By the way, just a heads up for anyone who is still thinking about backing CGR's Patreon: every video has a "Hyper version" on Patreon. Usually, by the end of the video (after the review of the game), Mark includes a few minutes of package/box art review, shares some of his strategies for the game or just adds extra commentary/jokes. It's pretty nice, and I think every tier gets he hyper videos - at least I do, and I'm just at the 5$ tier.

Yep, the Fantasy Zone review was a funny one. Rogue Squadron looks really great, doesn't it? I mean, for a 32x game, I'm quite impressed by its graphics.

Stellar Assault/Shadow Squadron is great (and I've heard a Jap only Saturn sequel/remake/something or other is also great), on my favorites on 32X, wish I had a copy myself but sadly it's even harder to find here in PAL land than it is over there in NTSC land.

Hmmph, just a Wing Commander & Tie Fighter wannabe... (Star Wars arcade too?) All the way down to the strategy used for taking out the capital ships - just fly to their back then fire away, loop and repeat... But on the 32X - Yea, quite impressive I suppose. Although I'd rather just go for the Saturn 'SS' version. But for the asking price is it really better than Colony Wars for PSX?... ( Way cheaper on top of being impressively reviewed by the way...)

Sleeping Dogs! Don't know why I never payed much attention to it before. Judging from the footage, this is the very epitome of a sucessor to the Shenmue franchise. Let's see Shenmue 3 top that! (It'll be really dissapointing if it didn't... )

The Sleeping Dogs people are the British division of Square Enix, it is an internal studio, but not the main one that focuses on JRPGs since the NES. This division is the one making Deus EX and Hitman this year, not to be confused with Crystal Dynamics that makes Tomb Raider, or Avalanche Studios that made Just Cause 3, also for Square Enix. They are more like the Western Eidos responsible for Thief. If anything you have to remember that Call Of Duty is Square Enix in Japan, not Activision, so they are all over the place.

Sleeping Dogs is still my favourite modern sandbox/openworld game, and I like it more than any GTA. It could have a more deep combat system (that's the thing that makes Shenmue unparalleled - its use of the Virtua Fighter engine), but I'm happy enough with it as it is.
Square Enix was developing a sequel to it, but talk about a bummer: it was a MMO. After a closed beta phase, it was cancelled, as, apparently, it just wasn't very interesting. I hope this haven't killed the franchise, as I would love a real sequel - I wouldn't mind having more games similar to Shenmue in the market...

Sleeping Dogs was made by United Front, before that they made.......Modnation Racers. They don't seem to be doing much unforunately, Triad Wars was cancelled and this assisted on some games since then. I hope to see another Sleeping Dogs(a full sequel, not F2P crap).

Hey, Mark just reviewed my first Famicom game ever, Sky Destroyer! Fun fact: while the NES was never very famous in Brazil (Master System / Mega Drive FTW), the Famiclones (that is, cheap knock-offs) were all the rage in the late 80s/early 90s, and were actually sold in big stores as if they were oficial products. One of the most famous ones, Dynavision 3, had a very nice feature: it played both NES and Famicom cartridges. I got that one when I was 7, so the first games I played were a mixture of both NES and Famicom: my very first games were Batman, TMNT (NES), Sky Destroyer and Akumajou Special: Boku Draculakun/Castlevania Kid (Famicom).

Mark reviewed yesterday Senran Kagura Estival Versus. I'm quite impressed - the gameplay looks quite good!
The problem is: how the hell would I justify playing it to my wife? "I bought it for the gameplay!" *a naked girl pulls a scroll out of her ass* "I swear!"

Google translate isn't the most accurate translator out there. I discovered this when I was looking for Latin words I could use.
