Ufh kerse... Eventually... Was quite a while since I saw my last RE CG film 'Degeneration', but from what I remember t'was pretty gewd. Claire was hawt (but this new Rebecca is hawter), didn't care much for the new movie original characters though.Haven't seen the previous one, 'Damnation', yet. Will have to seek it out soon. Haven't even played ResiE 6, to my shame... RE6 is a waste of time imo. I haven't played RE7 yet, thats something to be shameful about. I highly recommend Damnation, imo it is way better than Degeneration for the cast of characters and setting. You'll love Ada and Belikova in Damnation if you're into la gringas

Moshi Monsters Katsuma Unleashed for 3DS
It was a very short and simple platformer with bad framerate, simple visuals and sloppy controls.
There's some more stuff to find and collect for 100% completion, I couldn't get them on my first visit to some of the levels because they required powers you unlock later in the game.

I almosy forgot we had this thread. I have been finishing some games myself lately:
- Tomb Raider 2013 100% - Rise Of The Tomb Raider 100% - Tekken 7 - Uncharted Drake's Fortune - Uncharted 2 Among Thieves - Uncharted 3 Drake's Deception - Killzone Shadow Fall - The Last Of Us Remastered - The Last Of Us Left Behind - Heavy Rain - Until Dawn
All those games were in my backlog and I'm finally catching up. I also redo Street Fighter V and Mortal Kombat XL story modes recently if that counts.

Lylat Wars 3D on 3DS
or as Nintendo calls it these days, "Star Fox 64 3D", but because of how stupid that name is and how here in Europe it was called Lylat Wars on Nintendo 64 I will call it Lylat Wars 3D, it's also an objectively superior and much cooler name.
Other than the name change it's still pretty much the same game, it looks a lot better with a nice visual overhaul, it's about as good as a remake can be.

Last game I finished was Sonic Mania.
Boy, is that game not what people are saying it is! I mean, it's good, but I don't think it is close to being best in the series. The advantages this game has over previous ones are the multitude of playthrough character combinations, competition mode, and debug mode easter egg. Those alone make it more "valuable" than most 16-bit Sonic games, but overall I wasn't feeling it for most of the game. Maybe it was the aggressiveness of reusing assets, maybe the lack of theming in direct consequence, maybe it was the lack of evolution from Sonic 3 to this, but to me as far as 2D Sonic games go it is only better than Sonic 4, which isn't saying much.
EDIT: forgot to talk about the mini-games! The ones present as bonus stages are a mixed bag to me. One of them is collecting blue spheres, it ends up being a high-speed riddle for us to solve; just not my kind of thing. The other is racing against the UFO, which is actually a new and cool mini-game based around reusing assets from Sonic CD; in my opinion it should be the only mini-game present even though I didn't enjoy it.

spidershinobi I'm sure the game is excellent, but I doubt it is as good as the original trilogy. Who knows though. I haven't played it. It looks amazing on the trailers. I'll get it when I get back. Games I finished recently: - The Order 1886 - Beyond Two Souls I'm only getting rid of my backlog games. Plus I'm taking advantage that close friends from here visit often and make long stories games less tedious to go through. The Order 1886 was terrible, Beyond Two Souls was OK, Heavy Rain and Until Dawn were much better.

From what I've seen online, that game looks great. I was a little disappointed when I saw how much was just reused, but the new stuff looks good and I'm looking forward to trying it for myself.

I think Dan E. Kool will specially enjoy the desert stage. It's easily the most well made moment of Sonic Mania after the animations, and the only brand new zone for us players. As for stratogustav, I'm not sure if you'll enjoy it... The first Sonic feels like a lone game, because none of Sonic's following games, except maybe for the first Master System one, feel similar to it. I kind of wish the Sonic Team took notice and went back to something more like Sonic Rush. That game felt like an evolution to everything Sonic before it.

"Critics praised its level design, presentation, and faithfulness to the early Sonic games." Just read this on Wiki and had to laugh after seeing your comment. When all but one Zone is literally from the originals, OF COURSE its level design is good and it's faithful to the OG. Well, if this one does well, maybe they can expand for the sequel? Still looks like fun ('cause it's old Sonic).

Just finished Dragon Quest II on android. A classic definitely, but even this streamlined version was very grindy. I enjoyed it, but can't see replaying it.

I haven't finished it yet but agree that it's played a bit too safe, really doesn't have much offered that we didn't get in the Genesis games. Which works for a $20 game, I definitely do like it and would probably rate it an 8/10 but I'm not into the hype of it being by far the best Sonic game in years. I really don't think it's better than Generations or Colors, and definitely not the two Sonic Racing games. It would been nice if it had a few more new zones, the remixed/new zones is definitely in favor of remixed old zones.
