I absolutely love this game. I'll never forget the first time I played it at an Aladdin's Castle Arcade. The game had just come out, and the graphics were absolutely phenomenal for the time. Stylistically, it still looks amazing. The game play is incredibly smooth, as well. I don't think I had ever played an arcade game which had such tight, yet smooth controls. Everything was so fluid. The game (and its many sequels) is a lot of fun.
I remember my brothers telling me that I should stop playing such a "Street Fighter II rip-off." Then they played it. We dumped a lot of money into that machine that day.
Of course, this game is what got me interested in the Neo Geo. My fascination grew as FunCoLand posted incredible prices in a monthly catalog, yet they never had one in stock. This was pre-internet, so everyone in school seemed to have "a rich uncle/friend" who owned one, but we could never (conveniently) visit their houses...

Damn, it's so sad I missed the arcade age of gaming. I have seen and played a couple of arcades like Time Crisis and some other stuff, but they were almost eradicated by then. I picked this game because this is one of the games I've purchased for my MVS. Looks like such a great fighter!

Haha, I remember this one, Mark was really beating Derek on Samurai Shodown, then in real life with the Gamecom.
That girl Nokaruru is still tough to approach against in The King Of Fighters XIV. That bird is one lethal weapon she has.
I have this game twice. Once on PS3 and once on PS4. I also usually find it on an arcade machine in family owned businesses in US once in a while. Those MVS cabinets still work fine.

I usually see it on small family owned arcades, family owned bars, family owned pizza places, and family owned buger places. It is still quite popular now that I think about it.

There was a spirit of competitiveness, yet it was a hell of a lot of fun. Also, whenever a new game came into the arcade, EVERYONE wanted to try it out. Those days were quite fun.

It would have be fun to play against you on an arcade dude.

Man, I would go there everytime I would go out and eat. You also see stuff like Pac-Man, Galaga, Dig Dig, Ms. Pac-Man, Xevious, Bosconian, Pole Position, Rally-X, Mappy, Galaxian, Super Pac-Man, and others. I think it was you that mentioned that there is literally no arcades left in Scandinavia. I can't imagine living like that, that must be tough, respect.

Only place I know there's an arcade usmmis at this bowling place. They have a 2 player Time Crisis arcade. I love that thing.
