This entire series is just nuts. Charles Bronson deserved all the oscars for this. Another thing that makes the scene great, TITS That Porsche is the perfect 80s rich bad guy car.

This is one of the oldest discussions we've had on film discussion of the week, and I'm glad to say that I finally got to this one and watched it. My public library had a copy of it. Here's my review, and I hope this will forgive me for giving Cobra a less than stellar review cobretti: "As a preface to this review, I would like to point out that I have not seen Death Wish I or II. This is highly unusual of me as I never want to watch sequels without having seen the original ones first, however, in Death Wish 3's case I made an exception. I thought this movie was going to be a generic 80's action movie, but it turns out I was very wrong in that regard. What I was right about however, is that I really did not need to watch the two prior movies as this stands on its own, but I do wish I saw the originals first because this movie is much better than it had any rights to be. It is just solid, all the way through. The score is great, Bronson is cool as hell and the action is good and consistent. The only thing I miss is a better villain. Death Wish 3 is perhaps the most pro-gun movie I have ever seen, and I think it makes this movie stand out from the rest of its contemporaries. This is a movie that kills bad guys no matter how small of a felony they committed, and even though I am in conflict to this on an moral level, I cannot deny the fact that it is fun to see in a movie where the bad guys actually get punished. Great movie, big surprise. Need to watch the rest of the series some time." 4/5
