Cervantes ... Oh brother, mine brother! Your hardcoreness puts me to shame... I'm curious, is it possible to beat Dooku during the first encounter in the Hayabusa Village in Black? Because it is possible in Sigma, but I don't think so in the original.
I never beat Ninja Gaiden and was actually thinking of picking it up again, haven't decided on Sigma or Black though. leaon79s Didn't know they had the older games as unlockables, that is pretty cool. I liked that about the new(ish, think it's like 5 years old now) Splatterhouse. Yeah, I always wanted the recent 7th Gen Splatterhouse too. But not for the Old Game... *spill**spill* Could never track down a bargain copy though...

leaon79s - In NG Black, that encounter doesn't exist - it's just the cutscene of Ryu getting his ass kicked. This was one of the additions in Sigma (a very welcome one, I guess).

Oh yeah, I remember now. That was how it was in the original too, shortly (or was it immediately?) after the mounted warrior boss. But in Sigma, although it doesn't change the story , beating Doku there and then unlocks the next difficulty level - negating the need to beat the whole game like 3 times in order to unlock Master Ninja difficulty. Just playing up to and beating Doku in the village 3 times in successive difficulty unlocks it together with several alt costumes, classic blue among them. A real time saver. See, MGS4 isn't the only incentive for a PS3. Although it's also available now for Vita as Sigma+.

By the way, has anyone here played the Sigma+ version on the Vita? Is it any different from the regular Sigma on PS3? EDIT: Now it seems whoever voted on average now changed it to horrible. Ok, who is the hidden PS2 Shinobi fan?

Ok, who is the hidden PS2 Shinobi fan? My bet is on Armored Core Raven since he has voted but not stated his opinion.

I played this game with my asian friend when the game was new. She was pretty good and I was awful but I liked the game very much.

It is only for gameplay reasons that Team Ninja does that. Sure, sure. Only for the gameplay. That's what Team Ninja developers tell to their girlfriends/wives every time a new DOA Xtreme is released.

Those sweet-ass serves are only possible with Team Ninja's jiggly effects.

Yeah, I need my testosterone when I play DoA Extreme Volleyball. Those sweet-ass serves are only possible with Team Ninja's jiggly effects. Yeah, the jiggly is just because of the engine's physics. It is a very dynamic engine. If you start putting restrictions to where those physics apply, there is not even a point in having the engine working the physics that well. Cervantes with regular DOA fighting games the variety of sexy outfits and the jiggling also serve to distract your oponents. You gain extra frames in which they lose focus and you can hit them to start your combo. So in that case it is only for competition purposes.

well to be fair, the volleyball in Xtreme series is pretty good. There are no alternatives to that in the video game world. I'm really into volleyball so...

fsfsxii There are lots of volleyball games though. PlayStation, PS2 and Xbox have a few each, including the Outlaw Volleyball series, Summer Heat and Klonoa Beach Volleyball, and the GameCube got Beach Spikers.
