LAST EPISODE: We talked about this forum, which is stagnating. We are just a bunch of blokes (plus a Mexican chick who shows up every blue moon) who crap on about random game stuff.
How much do we like this place? Could it be more than what it is now? So, while all this is still fresh in my mind, who's on board for upsizing?
We get new members, but they bugger off a day later.
An idea we had was a monthly chat between us all, which is a little hard, but still possible, when we are all in different timezones. And we would need an App (I personally vote Discord).
Then, I suggested we start our own YT show, in the format of a game review show on TV. BUT, in order to make it happen, it would need the full co-operation of all involved. My hopes for that actually happening are not high, unless I got a sign that they were.
I say it's about time we did something. It's time to upsize! Lord Karnage no longer acknowledges our existence, so we go our own way.
If I got your attention, we can expand on it here. What say you?

Stagnating? I disagree. I'm having a blast. The key to happiness, centipede, is to be satisfied with what you have. The fact that this Pub still has multiple new posts and threads on a daily basis from such a small user base is pretty amazing. Other forums aren't so lucky. |

I like your idea of the YT channels centipede, but I also agree with what Dan E. Kool said. I compare our participation and content with sites that have insanely quantities of members and we still win from time to time. Like @lean79s once said, you guys are all also part of my inner circle and I see you all as close friends as well. I love that we have differences because that's what makes this friendship interesting, and at the same time we share some attributes too. We all come from loving CGR for example. Some of us already have well stablished YT channels and it would be cool that all of us have one. At one point I want to make one too, just to try it out. We'll definitely love to see your channel @centepide and comment here or in a chat. |

Seriously though, this is such a tightly knit community, it'll be daunting for anyone new to find footing past an initial welcome (maybe except if they posed as female...) - especially if they weren't an old face from the old forum like pretty much most here are.
The atmosphere is almost as if only someone recognizable from there could feel like they belonged...
Call me conservative but I personally don't care much for interlopers either.

Seriously though, gathering everyone is discord is a nice idea, but i fear it may eventually kill the forums, for reasons that're obvious and i'm lazy and tired to list them all. A Youtube channel however, is a difficult task, for the same reason you mentioned, differing time zones, not to mention its tough work, i assume...

I agree that we are very lucky to have so frequent users, but it's sad that evrry new user comes and leaves the same day. This happens on every forum, though. Like leaon79s said, we have our inside jokes and you in particular have a sometimes difficult to understand sense of humor that can be off-putting to newcomers. |
