As an action aficionado, you have to have a certain tolerance for oiled up semi clothed muscle dudes. 300 passed my tolerance threshold pretty quickly. I appreciate the pure machismo of the movie but couldn't reconcile the oily men.  |

I appreciate the pure machismo of the movie but couldn't reconcile the oily men. Yeah that volleyball scene makes me squirm every time I see it. And "Playing With The Boys" makes it that much worse. Any time I'm "playing with the boys" it means I'm pulling the Al Bundy maneuver and playing with my balls. In fact, that whole movie makes me feel uncomfortable. |

The whole point of the movie (graphic novel) is great concept. Imagine what it would be like for the retelling at the time among the Spartans; this is what you have. They would embellish certain things while still telling the story. It is a Spartan/modern take on Homeric legend.
Now they need to do a movie on Epaminondas and Leuctra.

The whole point of the movie (graphic novel) is great concept. Imagine what it would be like for the retelling at the time among the Spartans; this is what you have. They would embellish certain things while still telling the story. It is a Spartan/modern take on Homeric legend. Now they need to do a movie on Epaminondas and Leuctra. It's what makes this a great movie. Love the mythology with magicians and creatures. |

It doesn't mean you are denying its existence, specially if you are the one that mentioned it in the first place. It is also common sense to figure that out without having to get an explanation. |
