(Note: what I want and what I predict may be completely different things) Here are 25 of my personal sci-fi future predictions: 01. Mobiles will become more powerful than consoles, utilize at least 4K displays, become adaptable to more affordable VR headsets such as the Samsung Gear VR or the Google Cardboard, and with the use of Bluetooth technology and Miracast technology we won't need cables to hook them up to the TV, plus all the content will become digitally available or streamed online, and stores like GameStop and Target will sell online codes instead of discs 02. NASA will launch a new Moon landing project and a Mars landing project for that matter 03. We'll get visited by aliens but we'll assume they are just military drones 04. We'll run out of oil and alternative energy sources will take its place 05. Abortion, gay marriage, marijuana, and prostitution will be legal in all states. Abortion will eventually become unnecessary since the undesired pregnancy problem will get solved by science 06. Age of consent will be lowered to 15 like it is in most European countries, maybe even lower like it is the case of Spain, as new generations will cognitively mature earlier 07. Spanish will "rival" English as the standard global language 08. A digital asset such as Bitcoin will become the new official global currency after our global economy collapses 09. A new world government will be established by the U.N. 10. Countries will function as States as opposed of independent nations for natural resources and transit 11. High Fructose Corn syrup will get banned globally 12. Cure for cancer, HIV, diabetes and other major illness will be revealed to the public 13. Fire weapons will get banned 14. Isis and Al Qaeda projects will be terminated 15. A chip will be installed on every one to know where you are at all times 16. You will have the option to remain living virtually after you die 17. We'll find new habitable capable planets near by 18. Lifespan will be increased exponentially for all global citizens 19. Teleportation technology will become functional 20. We'll be able to know precise data of our ancestors by reading DNA better 21. We'll be able to bring back past personalities and family members with DNA information collected from descendants 22. You'll be able to choose the physical attributes of your new child voluntarily 23. Organ transplants, glasses, hearing aids, and prosthesis will become irrelevant since patients will be able to regenerate their own organs and limbs. As a consequence cyborg projects will get discarded 24. We'll figure out how to stop cells from aging 25. Robots will become completely humanoid and will become available for domestic use and even as avatars under certain restrictions

stratogustav 3. The universe is a huge place, don't have too high hopes. 7. Chinese will have a bigger impact than Spanish 8. Highly doubt it since it's used for illegal purposes and since it has a fixed number of bitcoins (no inflation) 11. Why? 12. Sounds like a conspiracy 13. Doubt it, but less production of fire arms would be great 15. Hopefully not, with all the reveals lately I think there will come a revolution against that shit 16. I don't see how that can ever be a possibility, but hey would be great 17. "near by", again, the universe is a huge place bro 19. You would also "die" everytime you use it 20. DNA isn't everything 21. Read #20 Really liked your post stratogustav, don't take these comments in a bad way.

Balder Some of these are not what I'm hoping for, but what I predict. 01. Do you mean 2? 07. Chinese too complicated without an alphabet, Spanish has more logical rules since it originates almost exclusively from Latin and Greek, with its prefixes suffixes, despite that China has the biggest population. Practical reasons will become more relevant than the amount of people speaking a certain language at first. 08. Not necessarily Bitcoin, but similar. 11. Because of the health repercussions of such a cheap processed sugar. 12. Like Bill Gate says, population growth control is a priority as of right now. 14. They will become unnecessary once 15 is achieved. 15. I LOL! when you said that. 16. Watch the movie "Transcendace" by Chris Nolan. 17. I know, but how does that contradicts that prediction? 19. I don't mean it will be used with living things necessarily. 20. It is more important than we think considering it has stored all the information of our ancestors and so far we only have access to about 2% of the entire genome. Thanks! Do you have any predictions?

stratogustav 1. I meant 3 (edited it) 7. Good point, but I still don't see why Spanish will become so important (I know there are many Spanish speaking countries, but they don't produce stuff that you have to learn Spanish to get, like entertainment) I've had Spanish in school for 5 years and it sucked. 8. Can totally agree on that 11. Don't think it will be banned though 12. Hope that's not the case. Terrible that there would exist such cruel people. 14. Didn't comment anything on this point 15. Look at Edward Snowden and that Wiki Leaks guy (Julian Assanje or something like that), people are revolting already 16. Noted 17. Didn't say it contradicted anything, just saying that we haven't had any visitors (I don't believe we've been visited yet), so it might be a while (a long while) 19. Fucking genius... Why didn't I think of that... 20. You probably know more than me anyways As for my predictions: I think we will work less in the future in amount of hours. With more and more things automated with robotics and electrical system, there will be less demand for physical work. That means that programmers and eletricians have a bright future. Instead of going to work for 8 hours maybe it's going to be 6 or 4 in the near future. Would be awesome right? More focus on higher education since most jobs require understanding since most things are high-tech. Less segregation between countries and more a global community as you already stated. Space travel easier than ever, and exploration becomes more important.

Balder 01. Oh OK. that makes more sense, I would say the incredible big size of the Universe makes more feasible for that to happen since there is a higher chance tha some civilizations had made much more larger achievements in space travel, but that's just an opinion. 07. I would blame it more to immigration and culture spread than media produced. I also said rival, not substitute. 15. I totally agree that happening would not be something well received, but it looks we are moving in that direction. 17. I disagree with that, but that's just an opinion, I can't probe it, but by reading ancient texts, it all indicates we had been visited many times before. 19. It has been said before on a few magazines, this one does not comes from me exclusively. 20. I truly don't, these are just predictions. The working less prediction is fantastic, that's actually one I would really want to happen, the benefits of that would be amazing, it would give people the benefit of focusing on things they care about, I mean for those whose jobs is not that, which are the majority of people, and yeah it makes total sense with all the current technology advancing.

I predict that there will be very little in the way of progress due to how western society has been poisoned to death. STEM fields are being burned at both ends; from people being dissuaded from seeking degrees in them, and the jobs that need them, being dumped overseas for cheap labor and tax dodges.
Really, what development in materials and technology is being funded?

stratogustav 17. So which aliens do you believe in? 19. I know you didn't come up with it for the first time in history, but I don't know why I just thought human teleportation and not objects.

Balder 17. The Universe is so huge that it wouldn't surprise me some of them look exactly like us, others may as well have wings, etc.. The ones that came to see Ezekiel in the Bible used helmets just like our astronauts do ( Ezekiel 1:22), which means some can't breath our air. Plus they traveled in some sort of discs or wheels ( Ezekiel 1:15), and for what it says it looks like they were able to control them telepathically ( Ezekiel 1:20), and travelled really fast too ( Ezekiel 1:14). They were the same model ( Ezekiel 1:16), they also had some sort of antennas and lights on top and around then ( Ezekiel 1:18). Talk about advance technology. 18. That's normal because when they talk about teleportation technology in movies, they usually display it with human beings, when practically the nature of it would make very hard for any living thing to utilize it.

stratogustav Ezekiel's description of them also include several wings and oxen heads and lion heads. Not your typical alien (if there is such a thing).

Balder Yeah I'm sure those are just ways to say something he can't describe, just like he says the lights were eyes for example, it has to represent some kind of symbolism that has been lost with time, but if you read underneath all that, you can see that he was talking about some kind of visitation. There are many other samples like that through out the Bible and pretty much every single relevant ancient text. There are some old civilizations like those of Mesopotamia (now Iraq), like the Sumerians, some of the first civilized cultures that we know about, who believed in these gods that came from the heavens they called the Annunaki. These guys from the sky even had wrist watches. If you go to South America, the natives built a wall were they displayed according to them all the different races that existed, hundreds of years before the conquers came, including those of the gods that came from the sky. There are a lot of races on that wall, like 88 or something like that, I don't remember exactly, but this is how one of the races looks like: It's interesting because one of the faces looks like it has a beard, there were no people with beards in South America before the conquers, and it does really look like the faces of the Annunaki, but those tribes had no relation whatsoever with the Sumerians since they lived in two different parts of the world without any kind of knowledge of their mutual existence, which means they were also visited by the Annunaki if they know their faces. These are some of the different faces. The place is called Tiwanaku. In some places like India they even saw aerial battles, which is cool. Actually even in Europe they saw a few of these battles. This is the Wikipedia description of what happened in Nuremberg in April 14, 1561: "Around dawn residents of Nuremberg saw what they described as an aerial battle, followed by the appearance of a large black triangular object and then a large crash outside of the city. According to witnesses, there were hundreds of spheres, cylinders and other odd-shaped objects that moved erratically overhead.
A broadsheet news article was printed later that month, describing the event. The broadsheet, illustrated with a woodcut engraving and text by Hans Glaser, measures 26.2 centimetres (10.3 in) by 38.0 centimetres (15.0 in). The document is archived in the prints and drawings collection at the Zentralbibliothek Zürich in Zurich, Switzerland.
The broadsheet describes objects of various shapes including crosses, globes, two lunar crescents, a black spear and tubular objects from which several smaller, round objects emerged and darted around the sky at dawn."Since this happened more recently it's cool they actually saved the newspaper page: People said they were even able to tell which side was winning. As you can see in the newspaper illustration. even while more modern, it still utilizes symbolism to describe what they were really seeing, just to represent the actual situation.

Balder My guess is because we are a relatively new planet with 4.5 billion years of existence, while humans maybe only 195,000 years of existence. They need to let us grow more before we are ready for new stuff. I guess they are respecting our free will. Those aerial battles that happen every now and then between them tells me that some of them like the idea of leaving us alone, and some others don't. So I'm sure there are some that at least block the others from coming and doing whatever they want. Something similar to what we are doing with these tribes: It doesn't mean they don't intervene every now and then when they see is necessary, like when we launch nuclear warheads and that kind of stuff. After they saw what happened in Hiroshima and Nagasaki in 1945 I'm sure they are patrolling us more heavily, like what this guy witnessed:

I predict that the world's best and brightest will move to Mars and beyond. In a century or two, the average IQ will drop on Earth so significantly that Earth will see a regression in evolution. This will be caused by the fact that people with ambition and industry will have left. Earth will then have to be recolonized after the decay of Idiocracy occurs.
