The complicated thing about the Genesis is that it has different kind of players liking different kind of games. Some kind of players like sports games, Toejam & Earl, Comix Zone and Ecco The Dolphin. Others like Shinobi, Gunstar Heroes, Alien Soldier, and M.U.S.H.A., and some like both. So the ones that like one side are not happy without their games, then the ones on the other side as well. So unless they make a Genesis with all the games, it is almost impossible to make everyone happy. In a way they tried to solve that problem by having the ability to use cartridges, but we all know that people will only be happy if they relaunch a new production of the original Genesis hardware as if it was 1989. For the AtGames Genesis retro console it is typical to see around 80 games including the bonus ones. I took the liberty to make the game list I want for their next Flashback system myself. - After Burner II - Alien Soldier - Alisia Dragoon - Altered Beast - Beyond Oasis - Castle Of Illusion - Castlevania Bloodlines - Contra Hard Corps - Crusader Of Centy - Darius II - Dr. Robotnik's Mean Bean Machine - Dynamite Headdy - Elemental Master - Fire Shark - Galaxy Force II - Golden Axe - Golden Axe II - Golden Axe III - Ghouls 'n Ghosts - Grind Stormer - Gungstar Heroes - Hellfire - Herzog Zwei - Landstalker - Light Crusader - Metallic Uniframe Super Hybrid Armor Aleste Full Metal Fighter Ellinor - Out Run - Phantasy Star II - Phantasy Star III - Phantasy Star IV - Power Strike - Power Strike II - Pro Striker Final Stage - QuackShot - Ranger X - Ristar - Shadow Dancer - Shining In The Darkness - Shining Force - Shining Force II - Shinobi III Return Of The Ninja Master - Slap Fight - Sonic The Hedgehog - Sonic The Hedgehog 2 - Sonic The Hedgehog 3 - Sonic & Knuckles - Sonic 3D Blast - Sonic Spinball - Space Harrier II - Super Fantasy Zone - Super Hang-On - Super Thunder Blade - Streets Of Rage - Streets Of Rage 2 - Streets Of Rage 3 - T.M.N.T. The Hyperstone Heist - The Revenge Of Shinobi - Truxton - Thunder Force II - Thunder Force III - Thunder Force IV - Twin Cobra - Twin Hawk - Zero Wing
Bonus games: - Disney's Aladdin - Comix Zone - Ecco The Dolphin - Ecco The Tides Of Time - Jurassic Park - Kid Chameleon - Mortal Kombat - Mortal Kombat II - Mortal Kombat 3 - NBA Jam Tournament Edition - NFL Football '94 - NHL '94 - Shadowrun - ToeJam & Earl - ToeJam & Earl In Panic On Funkotron - ToeJam & Earl III Mission To Earth - Vectorman - Vectorman 2 - X-Men - World Series Baseball
I decided to choose the bonus games deliberately just to make a point that you can put bonus games people care about, and not just something random that is not Genesis related. Of course it would read the original cartridges smoothly, you will be able to use your original Genesis controllers, etc.. Now let's hope they can get all those licenses too I'm sure I'm missing a lot, but we are talking about the Genesis here. Even if you go with only first party published games you could easily have over 200 games altogether.
