I've heard from longtime SF fans that V is the worst one of the bunch, with the most casualized gameplay in the series. What a shame. Between this and MvC Infinite, it seems like Capcom can't make a decent fighting game anymore.

I love Street Fighter V. The gameplay is tight, the art design is excellent, and it is a lot of fun. I have zero critcism against it. I love everything about that game.
The main story mode took many months to come out, but it was free and dorky, so no complaints there. The arcade mode took a couple of years, but it was also free, and it comes with 6 modes as opposed of just one, which is also great.
I love how easily is to find someone at your level. It is very approachable, and the trials are magnificent training wheels for your timing.
It is easy to get currency with the individual story modes, the online mode, and the survival mode, so most stuff you can get free while having fun playing the game. We buy Street Fighter games to grind, to play it over and over again, and having rewards for that is always a good thing.
I simply couldn't ask for more. Well, except for the nude mod that is only available for the PC version, it sucks consoles can't get that.
On the other hand, Marvel Vs. Capcom Infinite is trash though. I don't like the art design, and the lack of X-Men is simply not acceptable.

I think a lot of the bitching is because people have some hate boner for Capcom so they spew undeserved shit on this game. It’s actually pretty good despite being pretty threadbare feature wise at launch. What really burns my biscuits is how much love DBFZ gets despite being the most casual fighting game in the last decade. It’s is quite literally everything people think they hate about Street Fighter V. I give it a 4 only because it’s not SSF2T or Third Strike. |

I'm tempted to say that Super Smash Bros Brawl is the most casual fighting game within the last decade, but it was so abysmally fit for the competitive scene that it shouldn't even be lumped in the same category as SSF2, Melee, Virtua Fighter and games like that. I've never played Dragon Ball Fighter Z, either, and I haven't read the reviews, so can't comment there. I'm currently waiting for winnersdontusedrugs to show up and preach the holy gospel truth on this game. |

Despite that, when I used to play Xrd the servers would be very modest in population size, and I doubt there's been more people playing since then. Where are all these people saying Xrd is godlike, playing SFV? It just goes to show that most of these guys are posers who like to talk about games as if they actually played them. Spirit Bomb I wish I has something constructive to say but I've never bothered playing SFV as of yet. Sorry about that.

It got so out of hand that the game that took Mahvel's spot in EVO is Blazblue Cross Tag Battle, a game that I'm going to eat a hat if it turns out to be as good or better than Marvel vs Capcom Infinite.
And by the way, whoever voted "Bad" should come out and explain why.

I bought the Arcade Edition of this game and it includes the first and the second season passes, and I was going to buy the third, but my god how much they're charging for it. 30 bucks for 6 characters is a fucking lot man, especially considering how few characters were included in the main game. I mean, how can you release a Street Fighter without Guile? Of course people are going to fork over the money.

Tried out Street Fighter V today, and damn, Street Fighter must be one of the least accessible fighting games there is. I'm a complete noob as I've never played much of any of the Street Fighters (only played II a little bit), but the special moves are seriously stressful to pull off. There was no way I would play a real match except for bots and practice mode. This one is going to take a while to learn.
