Total classic. Charlton Heston rules. Didn’t think Balder, a man who’s taste is so poor that he would rather watch a Sharknado sequel over Commando, would think of such a great movie.

I love Charlton Heston movies. Many of them are true masterpieces.

I was afraid the original wouldn't hold up as well as people would have me believe, but it blew me away regardless of me being spoiled the ending. It's a fantastic movie, and I doubt any of the sequels will overcome it. The first sequel was utter garbage, and so far the only sequel I've watched. What I love the most in this movie is how great the costumes are and how great lead Charlton Heston is.

Total classic. Charlton Heston rules. Didn’t think Balder , a man who’s taste is so poor that he would rather watch a Sharknado sequel over Commando, would think of such a great movie. It's impossible to forgive a man who watches multiple Sharknado movies before Commando. ... But Planet of the Apes is good, can't deny it.

Just to update you guys since you're so obsessed with me watching Sharknado movies; the 5th Sharknado movie got on Netflix and I watched it the other day.

I mean, dude, I’ll give you props for this classic, but watching Sharknado 5 over Commando, or Stallone Cobra, or really just about anything not just brings shame to you, but brings shame to your family as well. You have lost face.

The next sequel is much better and a very fine movie, though certainly not even close to be as good as the original. I do recommend watching it and then ignoring all the other movies (though I haven't watched the new ones, so I can't comment on those). Edit: To me, the classic series goes like this: 1-------3----4-5-2.

Also props to the rating scale this week. A Costanza reference is welcome in any situation.

This movie touched on a lot of things still present today, like racism, government interference and the religion vs. science debate. It's a little deeper than most other sci-fi things of the time, I think.
THIS movie is a masterpiece, but the others after it haven't aged all that well. As a series, I prefer the reboot.

Hey Balder, how do people in Norway feel about George Costanza?
