Game Discussion of the Week: WipEout Omega (HD/2048)

I had to mention the WipEout Omega Collection for the PlayStation 4 because it recently got an update that makes it fully playable on PlayStation VR from start to finish now.

I was happy with the WipEout HD Collection on the PlayStation 3 which by the way it was one of the two games I got for free after Sony HQ got hacked in 2011.

The 3D on the PlayStation 3 version is outstanding and even though it only comes with two games, missing the Vita 2048 one, it was already everything I wanted. It is also the hardest Platinum trophy on all PlayStation after Raiden 4 Overkill if you ask me, not even PhantasmaStriker has it, even though he is pretty far into it.

I was honestly not going to get it at all, but as soon as I heard of the VR update a month ago I did not mind paying pull price for it.

After I tried it my mind was blown. It is insane to think we have come this far since I played F-Zero for the first time on my Super Nintendo. I'm not lying when I said for me personally it is one of the best gaming experience I have had in recent years along with Resident Evil VII, EVE Valkyrie, and EVE Gunjack. I almost shed a tear because it made me that emotional. I couldn't believe this was a reality.

I can only hope someone would sell a flight stick just to play this game. I would buy it on a heart bit. Don't get me wrong, the DualShock 4 works perfectly for it, you don't need anything else, but a flight stick would be ideal for me. Hopefully when Ace Combat 7 comes out someome would make one that could be used for both games.

The new platinum trophy looks almost as hard as the last one. I really doubt many would be getting this one just like they didn't get the last one, but I can say with certainty that it will be a lot of fun trying to go as far as one possibly can into the game trying to get it.

I cannot recommend it enough, this is a must for any fan of the genre, specifically with a gaming chair, and PlayStation VR. Even without the VR experience you are still getting WipEout, listening Antidote by Swedish House Mafia while racing in the future. It is everything I always wanted.
